Excellent doctor

I went to see this doctor because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. I was diagnosed with JRA at age 3 and it has stayed with me as an adult, meaning 45 years of arthritis. This doctor questioned everything that I said had happened with my disease. Staring down at the scars from my knee replacements, she asked me if I was sure I had had knee replacements because they should not have any swelling or be warm; she did not understand that. You think she would run some tests instead of questioning if I was telling the truth about my surgeries. She told me, without an x-ray, that my hip pain was bursitis and that most people would have exercised past the pain. She said I should be excited by this. When I asked for x-rays, she said the only thing she would x-ray is my hands and feet. My pain was mostly in my hips, shoulders, neck, and back when I went in that day. I did go to my primary doctor, who luckily listens to his patients and while continuing to push myself as I am of a… slight build and exercise frequently, I went in for x-rays of my hips and shoulders. It turns out I have cysts in my hips along with osteoarthritis. The cysts are causing me incredible pain and my next stop is a surgeon. The shoulders have Tendinitis with my right should being especially bad. Finally, although there is more, this doctor tells me what is happening to me is normal with age, given I am only 48, probably the same as her and I did not see any signs of any of this with her or many other people my age. My advise for Dr. Kim is at least listen to your patients and believe them, especially when you know so little on how to help them!

I can't believe I saw the same doctor as described in the "terrible bedside manner" review. Dr. Kim was friendly, professional, witty, and best of all, she took a lot of time with me. She examined me thoroughly, asked me many questions, explained what she was looking for in the examination, discussed the many options for treatment, gave me a realistic outlook on my condition, and was exceedingly kind and respectful. I have seen many doctors, and Dr. Kim has the best "bedside manner" I have ever encountered. It has been a long time since I've been to a doctor that didn't make it seem like they were in a rush to get through my appointment. Dr. Kim took her time with me and was incredibly thorough. I cannot recommend this doctor highly enough.

Dr Kim was the most unprofessional Dr that I have ever dealt with. Not only did she do absolutely nothing to help me, she asked me to leave her office to take another call. I felt very humiliated and frustrated. I have been having horrible medical issues for months now and have no relief, which is not her problem but I do hold her responsible for being a respectful doctor. I am also having a hard time sleeping at night and she told me to stop drinking so much water and double up on sleeping medicine. What Dr says that? All Dr's say water, water, water. I felt like she didn't know how to fix my problems and she was grasping at straws. What amazed me is that I made an appointment with another Dr and saw him and he new what was wrong with me in 5 minutes. Thank god! Still no relief yet, but at least a diagnosis.
