Dr. Janet Claire Limke, MD

She is the worst doctor I’ve ever seen. She is arrogant and dismissive. She barely examined me and then said there was nothing that could be done for me, that I had to live with this horrific pain. No empathy at all

I was a patient with Dr. Limke and she didn't believe the excruciating back pain that I was in and made me wait over 10 days until she would even approve an MRI request and told me that she would fight it if my insurance protested it. My MRI proved that I had a severely herniated disc and although she got me into the epidural steroid injection pain clinic as soon as she could, the injection was not successful and was one of the most painful things that I have succumbed to in my 53 years of life. My experience at Pro Sports in Brighton, MA has been far superior as to anything on the south shore. Please do not go to see her if you have back pain and do not go to the pain clinic that she recommends.

My primary referred me to her- I finally got an appointment - took almost 2 months to get one. I had been having severe , constant pain from my sacroiliac joints for weeks - had to miss work several days because of the bad back pain , numbness and sciatica down both legs into my calves and feet: I’ve never had this kind of back pain or sciatica before- I am in my 60s and am not a person who seeks medical attention unless I really need it. I found her rushed, dismissive , unconcerned and vague regarding my concerns and questions. I would actually call her arrogant. I had to call her office 2 weeks later to get results of the exam and xrays which is totally unacceptable. She finally left me a quick voicemail. She said my problem was no quick fix and to have some physical therapy- Never even told me what the diagnosis was- I could hardly believe it ! At my wits end by this time, I asked my primary doc to write a referral for cortisone/ lidocaine injections - what a relief! I am so much… better now. Dr. Limke also emphatically drove home the point that she’s not around a lot at this clinic , ie: not available regularly for appointments or phone calls- really? She may be technically astute but she is an uncaring doctor- would NOT recommend. She obviously shouldn’t be taking on new patients. Perhaps she doesn’t want to diminish her bankroll ? I have no other explanation for her behavior - find another doctor . If you notice, the only good reviews we’re written years ago.

She keeps taking jabs at me. Has no sympathy

Worst professional ever that i have encountered. Waste of visit. Kept me waiting then dismissed all my symptoms. Horrid and rude bedside manner. Would not even look at records without begging. Barely examined me. I am confident she should stop seeing patients as she has no care or compassion.

I was unable after weeks of trying to contact my doctor to discuss follow up treatment options. She won't even return a phone call - I need an office appt which they can provide three months out

She couldn't remember what my problem is and why she had asked me to make a follow up appointment. Very pompous in her attitude.

Dr. Limke spent over 45 minutes examining me and evaluating x-ray and mri resuts. She actively discussed everything with me as she proceeded in a lively, down to earth and informative manner. She recommended a great physical therapist and I have almost complete back pain relief. The first two doctors I tried could not explain my problem or fix it. I am glad i kept trying as she was excellent. SUCCESS is the best RECOMMENDATION.

I had seen three or four "experts", some caring but over their heads, one on a giant ego trip, "all hat and no cattle" as they say in Texas. Dr. Limke is professional, engaging, caring, helpful and really proved to have the help I needed. After two years of chronic back issues, finding Dr. Limke was like discovering buried treasure.
