Dr. Janet Anne Marley, MD

One of the worst doctors I've ever been to. I was very nervous to see her since it was my first time seeing her. Before that I was seeing her husband who was wonderful and caring. I remember telling the girl in the back who was getting me in a room it was my first time seeing Dr Marley. She warned me that she was rough. Then I was really scared. The exam went horrible. She was very rough and I felt like she didn't know what she was doing. She kept moving the speculum around and readjusting it. I never had this much trouble having an exam before.Dr Marley was completely uncaring. She tryed to blame me for her having problems with the exam. After my pap results came back they said I needed to come in for another exam cause the results were messed up. I skipped coming back. I've never been told I needed to come back for a pap before. I feel like she didn't do the exam properly and that is why it was messed up. To sum up she is rough and doesn't care about you as a patient. Please don't… see her. You will regret it.

I went here many years ago as a young woman- and I still speak about my first gyno as a terrible experience. I have since been to other gyno's that were KIND and not so rough and abrupt. The bleeding for a few days after a pap smear was a normal occurrence, causing cramping and discomfort. She just genuinely did not make me feel like she cared what so ever for me or my well being. The wait time to be seen was always RIDICULOUSLY long - I would recommend finding a different GYN, as there are many others out there that will not have you leave feeling like you want to cry.

Made me feel real comfortable for my first Pap smear and gave me the birth control I wanted.

I visited Dr. Marley for a Pap smear because my lifelong gynecologist, Dr. Cyrus Gray, had retired and moved to GA. Dr. Gray was the most gentle of doctors one would ever want. Unluckily, my first experience with another gyno was with Dr. Marley. She was rude, loud, mean, and I was literally doubled over in pain and bleeding after the pap exam, and could barely walk. It was the most painful experience one could imagine. She tells me during the visit that something was wrong, and she wants me to have a biopsy as she suspects I have endometrial cancer. This from a Pap smear? She tried to force me to make the arrangements for the biopsy immediately, but I refused. A few days later, she CALLED ME AT HOME and was screaming at me that they were going to send me In the mail papers to sign if I refused the biopsy - and her words - "so that I am not held responsible when you die from cancer." WHAT? By the way, I do NOT have endometrial cancer. I went to another gyno right away, told him… my experience, and he IMMEDIATELY knew It was Dr, Marley I was talking about. It's pretty bad when your peers know of your awful reputation. My advice? RUN as quick as you can! Do NOT go to this doctor!!!!

i dont know if anyone even reads this but i want you to know thay going to this woman was a horrible experience. I'm only 21 years old and i have never been to an obgyn as ROUGH and FORCEFUL as she was. She just had no sympathy towards you at all, when she was doing the breast exam she was just shaking you all over the place, it was like she just didnt care and was in a rush for you to get out. For me it was a horrible experience and I will NEVER go back!

I had this doctor for my GYN 30 years ago. My experience was not much better than any of these other ones. There was rudeness, rough exams and the staff then could not have cared less. I also know that shortly after I left, she was no longer had OB priviliges at the hospitals. I was surprised to see that she was still practicing.

This is the WORST physician practice I have ever seen in my entire life. I work with medical practices and I regret going to this physician for as long as I did.1. I waited at the very least 2 hours for my scheduled appointment, even when I called to see if they were on schedule2. The doctor thought I was ANOTHER patient and made incorrect notes - then gave me the WRONG prescription!!3. They forced me to pay for the wrong prescription because it was the doctor's fault and not the pharmacy's fault for filling it - so I had to pay for it and it was 4 times the cost of my regular prescription4. They then charged me for my visit even though they sent me the wrong prescription5. The nurses are rude and don't know what they are doing6. The office manager is rude and has no idea how to run a practice7. The office is not kept clean and it's old and disgustingThis physician is too elderly to be in practice and needs to retire ASAP. She has no memory of her patients or what she tells them and… she takes WAYYY to long to get to each appointment with her patient anyway. When she actually makes it to the patient, she rushes through the appointment, not allowing you to ask any questions.DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE!!! You will regret it.

THIS DOCTOR IS VERY ROUGH FOR SNY WOMEN CONSIDERING USING THIS DOCTOR TO GET A PAP SMEAR. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND EXAM AND RUFF. THIS DOCTOR DO NOT EXPLAIN WHAT SHE IS GOING TO DO DURING EXAMINATION AND HAD NKNOW ASSISTANT IN ROOM DURING EXAM I WAS HURT AFTER THIS EXAM AND VERY SCARED

When I arrived for my first appointment, the secretary/nurse was quite rude. She rushed me to complete my paperwork even though I had arrived 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment. I was then asked to sit in Dr. Marley's strangely decorated (think bulldog figurines) office for a consult. During my 45 minute wait to speak with Dr. Marley, she came in the office several times but either did not notice my presence or didn't have the presence of mind to acknowledge me. Then she came in and stated "what do you want?" which seemed absurd considering the appointment was for a pap smear. She finally saw me for an exam, which was the most painful pap smear I've ever had. I bled for two days and had severe abdominal and genital pain. I've been going for annual and biannual exams for many years and have never had one that painful. Even the exam I had once at a "clinic" while I didn't have insurance was not nearly as bad. Dr. Marley had never heard of the birth control I had been on for… several years, which seemed odd to me. She barked orders at me as if I was one of her canine figurines. The entire experience was irritating and uncomfortable, which is exactly what a woman fears in a gynecologist appt. I usually do not write reviews, but there were none posted for me to go by so I feel compelled to warn other potential patients. Dr. Marley is strange and she seems incompetent, her office staff is rude (which would normally not bother me if the services provided are adequate, which they were not), and my entire experience was negative. I was in the office for nearly two hours for a regular annual exam and left nearly in tears. Please let this be a warning for other women. Also, a side note: Dr. Marley recently switched from a OB/GYN to "Strictly Gynecology" rather abruptly. I wonder if she lost her license or right to practice obstetrics? Just a speculation, but sincerely based on my subjective experience. Hope this helps.
