Dr. Janet S Mertz, MD

Dr. Mertz is outstanding. I went to her for surgery to correct pre-sleep apnea. She did an outstanding job. She is professionally proficient and patient, and is one of those few physicians that actually took the time that was needed to diagnose, understand, explain, and dialogue with my wife and I so we understood everything that was going to be performed so that we felt comfortable and at ease. Speaking of patients, she is very patient, a good listener, an excellent and experienced praticioner that instilled confidence with us. She has a good sense of humor, really cares about her patients, pro-actively called us at home post surgery to see how we were doing and answer any questions, and she's pretty cool i.e. layed-back too. My surgery was performed in the late 1990's, and now (2010) that my wife needs her surgical services, that is who she wants to go. Even though she's out of our insurance network. We have total trust in her. In our experience, she is simply the best of… the best!
