Dr. Janet E Samorodin-Mcilwain, DO

Both our children were assigned to Dr. Samorodin when our pediatrician left. She seems to be bothered by parents, and she gives the impression that she prefers parents and kids be separated during the visit. Dr. Samorodin is not friendly and is rude to parents who question her treatments or her suggestions. She is very pushy with her advice and when you decide not to follow her advice then she gets angry with you instead of offering some alternatives.

Dr. Samorodin is excellent! She is attentive, and takes time with her patients. She saw my daughter for years while she was still a pediatric aged patient, and she still sees my son, who is now a teen. My son has always needed specialty care for chronic infections and breathing issues. She helped us with referrals to other doctors, including finding someone out of state, who was able to diagnose him, and help us with treatment. She has been a true resource, and never let us down with either of our kids. In many instances, she went above and beyond for my family. She’s the best around, and we’ve been to a lot of doctors!

Dr. Samorodin is VERY rude. My kids were switched to her after their last Pediatrician of 13 years retired. I'm completely fine with directness, but she is downright rude. I do not recommend her.

Dr. Samorodin is very direct and to the point, but spends the time to hear all concerns. I like her approach. I never leave feeling like it was a waste of an appointment. She sees 3 of my children and I would recommend her to others.

I would not use this doctor again. She was good with my daughter but was not friendly towards me (the mother). Any concern there was with my daughter, she made it sound negative or just made it sound like I was a bad parent. I feel she could have been nicer about mentioning anything I could do to approve my daughters health. In which my daughter is healthier, mentally and physically, than most other kids anyways so I don't know why she was rude about anything anyways.
