Dr. Janet Adele Zander, MD

Dr.Zander is quick to diagnoses without knowledge, as well as medicating patients based on those faulty diagnosis. She petitioned to have my daughter committed without sufficient cause - and then created a hostile environment to agitate her to form a basis for that petition. This included changing her medication without properly informing her client, dismissing family members inquiring about those practices - bombarding the client and forcing her to take medication based on her rapid diagnosis - Which resulted in the client being disoriented appearing to be what she diagnosed her to be. When the client tries to resist she was tacked by staff and forced to receive a shot of a medication we have yet to know if she needed. The patient has scored high on IQ tests but was labeled as having the intellect of an adolescent. She's to prompt on her diagnosis - telling me she used a certain medication based on a note from another hospital that said that I (the patient's mother) liked the… medication. Wow she's basing her medical opinion on hearsay!

Should be flipping burgers

Dr. Zander is in the business of committing people indefinetly to regions hospital. She shows little to no compassion to her patients, she refuses to communicate with patient family members, she's unprofessional, over medicates people and she uses intimidation and fear to coerse her patients into institutions of not their choosing. If you receive this doctor, request another IMMEADIATELY!

I am covered by an HMO that will only allow me to see her as my pyschiatrist due to her low fees that I am assuming are so low due to the fact she has many openings and is a very poor doctor. Talks about other patients to her receptionist in front of waiting patients, and tried to convince my family to have me committed to Anoka County because I refused her in having shock therapy. She once blew up on me verbally loud enough for patients in the waiting room to hear because I refused her in prescribing me a medication that she had previously prescribed to me that gave me a serious side affect causing me to be rushed to the emergency room and being placed as an inpatient for three days for observation. I would not bring my dog to her for behavior health problems!! I truly beleive she needs pyschiatric care herself based on her behavior towards me and other patients of hers that I have gotten to know as she finds it common practise in yelling at her unfortunate patients and is often… heard discussing other patiens mental health problem in front of waiting patients. Very unprofessional and after researching her, found that she finished at the bottom of her class. Would be better suited flipping burgers if she could remember to put the pickles on the inside of the bun !!
