The office manager is a heartless individual. I was diagnosed with Lymphoma and so devastated I couldn’t sleep. I was seen at an office visit recently and a prescription was called into my pharmacy costing over $200.00. A prescription was written and left at the desk for a sleeping pill that was covered by my insurance. I called the office explaining that I was now Covid positive and spoke to the office manager asking to please call the new sleeping pill prescription to the pharmacy. Knowing the insurance was going to pay for the prescription she still said no. I am never going back to an establishment that refuses to assist a long time very ill patient. This was written for my very ill brother ??

She was recommended by a cardiologist who remarked she was recommended by some of her patients. I found that she and her staff were outstanding in communication skills as well as listening skills.Takes the time to answer all questions.Definitely a caring person who has the staff that is the same.

This is not common to find in South Florida for your PCP. Most places it's in an out with no real exam. Dr Plaxe and her nurses are very thorough and focused on your general health. Because of this, sometimes the waits can be a little longer than anyone would really like, but considering the quality of care is so good, I really don't mind waiting at all (I find it better to schedule in advanced if you can and just get the first appointment of the day). Bloodwork can be done in office, as can ultrasounds. MRI's and CT scans are available in the office next door. Very convenient!

DR PLAXE IS A GREAT DIAGNOSTIC DR. INTELLIGENT AND CARING.

No primary care doctor due to my workplace changing insurance carriers (my previous, wonderful primary no longer took my insurance). I am very healthy, but got sick and ended up in hospital. Took me a month to get in to see this doctor so in the meantime went to other specialists (as encouraged by hospital) and underwent labs and tests. Nurse was very nice; she went over fully my medical record that I wrote out and typed on screen. Dr. Plaxe not skilled in taking a recent health history from patient as far as current treatment/diagnosis from other specialist; all she asks are those questions that are on the computer screen. Okay, perfectly fine, she asked same questions that I went over with nurse. However, she wouldn't even allow me to explain recent hospitalization and care/treatment from specialists and give her the lab/tests results, which specialists told me to give to my new primary (literally, copies in my hand from the other doctors). Instead, listened to heart and then began… to leave the room and in the same breath said she was ordering bloodwork, chest x-ray, EKG, and other standard physical exam labs. I began telling her I had all this done, recent all within a week or two, and tried to give her the paperwork with all the test and labs, the same ones she wanted to do on me as part of the a standard physical. She said that they run their own labs and tests and she would see me in two weeks. After spending 4 weeks for an appointment I am not repeating all the same labs and tests. I am certainly not waiting for her to check in with my health in another two weeks.

I had Dr. Plaxe as my primayr care Dr in 1997 in NJ. She was a very caring Dr during a time when I was starting to experience a neurological virus. She is an excellent Doctor

Takes her time with my issues and very caring and precise. Really cares about her patients . Nice nurse too.
