Dr. Janice Valmassoi, MD

The staff is amazingly rude. My child was bitten by a spider when I called up the office for a emergency visit. The female staff member would not allow us a visit. Her exact words were wait a day or two. WAIT A DAY OR TWO? Is that insane? We have recluse spiders on Long Island.

Dr. Valmassoi has a great way with kids and bedside manor, but It is extremely difficult to get an appointment especially for a well vist. Well visits are scheduled season's in advance and if you miss the window in which they schedule for the next season, your're out of luck.

My 16month old daughter was bitten by a spider and had a quarter site bruise with three bumps. She had a fever of 100. When Dr. Valmassoi was called her staff told us to come in four hours later. They would not she her immediately. How can you wait four hours. The staff was unconcerned and very nasty calling it "only a bug bite". Took her to a child clinic where she was seen immediately and all the patients in the waiting room insisted we go ahead of them. Stay way from Dr. Valmossoi

I would recommend her as a doctor. She is great at diagnosing a problem and will call in her colleagues if needed. Always caring and understanding and will reach out with specialists and follow up on serious issues. My daughter unfortunately has a chronic illness and she tells me to use her as my first line of questioning and answers all concerns in a timely matter. I feel blessed to have such a doctor watching after my child.
