Dr. Jared David Acoba, MD

Dr. Jarad Acoba ..Has no sense of urgency with the stage 4 cancer my brother has. Another doctor who does have will need to be contacted.! Being ftom the Mainland and living in Hawaii State, we have become use to the very Professional Doctors with care in the Cancer field. Sad to say he has only schooled and practiced in Hawaii. What should one Really expect???

I feel that I am alive today because of Dr. Acoba. He started me right off the bat with a new drug for melanoma and it is working. I visit him every 90 days for pet scan to make sure the pills are still working. Because the pills I take cost $20,000 a month and I have no insurance he was able to secure relief. A good man.

When I first met Dr. Acoba it was in the hospital after my surgery. I was so impressed with his manner. He talked to me like a regular person. He spoke about my procedure and what can be done for when I start with my chemo. He came to visit me often which was welcomed by me because it showed he care and I still was being attended to by my regular Dr. who did the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Jared Acoba. I trust him and believe in his abilities

I first me with Dr. Acoba in 2012 as he was covering for my primary oncologist while he was on vacation. Dr. Acoba was very professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I feel those are the three main things that everyone should expect from their doctor when dealing with cancer. Needless to say, I left his office feeling very impressed. Here's when he went the extra mile...Although I returned to the care of my primary oncologist upon his return Dr. Acoba still checked in with me while I was hospitalized to see how I was doing. He consistently went above and beyond - not for just being a great doctor - but also for being a great human being. I have and will continue to refer friends & family to him for care. Thank you Dr. Acoba for being their for me...It made all the difference.

I have no issues with the Doctor nor his office staff at the Queen's Office nor the staff at the Queen's Cancer Center. My biggest issue is with the staff at the Kuakini Office. Its bad enough to have to deal with my health concern, the sole reason for seeing this Doctor, but to put up with the lack of professionalism by the staff leaves one to desire something much better from the individuals from THAT office.

Too mater of fact. Here's what I think you got, here's how I'm going to fix it. Oh by the way, how do you feel?

I agree with the previous reviews. It's a no wonder patients are turning to "alternative" care. Is this the new breed of medical doctors?! Computer savvy but patient care illiterate?! Put that laptop down and look at me. I'm the one you should be focused on. WHO TRAINS THESE PEOPLE?!

not my kinda doc. this dude has not learned people skills. the staff are indifferent and uncaring. these are medical people? we need health reform fast!

Don't go here unless U R looking for a cookbook "doctor". The staff sucks!!! Down right rude and they are in "health care"???? Oh, and the office is not very clean. Don't touch anything. U might catch something.
