Dr. Jared Louis Atwood

My eight year old son needed to have two teeth extracted with sedation. The office was welcoming and transparent about anticipated costs. We met Dr. Atwood during the consultation where he answered questions and reviewed everything with us. The staff personnel were patient and friendly with son's anxiety. Dr. Atwood was direct with very good bedside manner. I was very satisfied with our care and would happily recommend him to anyone.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed and the whole experience felt like they were in a hurry. This particular dentist does not require patients come in for a consultation before the surgery. In terms of the procedure, the doctor and staff came into the room, shook my hand, asked if I had questions, then started to knock her out, so I quickly kissed her and left the room. I had no idea if he was the surgeon or the anesthesiologist. We were given the green sheet to review and ask questions, but the whole process seemed rushed liked they cared more about getting people in and out and making money then the actual patients. Then afterwards we were called to the recovery room. My daughter is a teenager so I guess she invited her two best friends to come up. Instead of politely asking the friends to leave (we have a policy . . . ) we were All asked to leave. My daughter was in recovery for about five minutes total before we were shown the door. And then we were told swelling would… reduce in three days. It's been five days and my daughter is still extremely swollen with no signs of it easing up. She also has massive bruising under her chin and jaw areas. I called the nurse on Thursday and we were told something different about swelling (that it peaked in 3 to 4 days) and that it was normal to still be swollen. Overall, very bad experience and I would not recommend this practice to anyone.
