Dr. Jared Alexander Toman, MD

Dr. Toman is amazing. Very thorough and patient and is an excellent surgeon. I had arthroscopic knee surgery in the spring and was doing extremely well, unfortunately I fell and damaged my knee so he has to go back in to fix things again. I trust him 100% and even though it’s a long wait for my surgery, it is absolutely worth it.

Horrible! Beware! Acts like a child ! I required further surgery on both right and left shoulders and biceps that he missed !

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Toman and all of his staff. Everything from the very first phone call to my first encounter with the doctor was above and beyond. Dr. Toman was kind, intelligent and willing to spend as much time as he needed to answer my questions. I will never go anywhere else!

Dr .Toman is a very unprofessional Dr to say the least. I had been waiting for my appointment for a week when I arrived at my appointment with my task trained service dog The front desk staff greeted me with out warning me that Dr.Toman is deathly afraid of dogs and when he opens the door to come into my room He demanded that I leave with my service dog and refused to treat me. After asking to speak to patient relations the front desk staff sent up security, security then proceeded to ask illegal questions and had no idea of the service dog laws l. after establishing the laws with security, security then sent up so called patient relations come to find out it was just a social worker. After all this I spent hours on the phone trying to figure out what I was going to do next as I needed to get my knee looked at by a orthopedic. Meanwhile waiting for a outcome that never got resolved you could here Dr.Toman Talking about me and basically saying how dare I bring a “therapy” animal into… his office. Mind you my task trained service dog was in a down stay under the seat with a wide barrier between me and the exam table there for Dr. Toman would have had NO contact with my service dog.

It’s about time we had this kind or surgeon in Gardner. He was a bit behind in clinic courteous professional and helped me understand my shoulder problem. Felt very comfortable with allowing him to take over my care.

Dr. Toman took such good care of my mom! My whole family was impressed. The anterior total hip is the way to go. We weren't sure about Heywood at first but everyone from the office staff to the OR were compassionate and professional. No need to drive to Boston for great care!

Contrary to interviews I’ve see him give, he is NOT interested in knowing about the whole of a person and treating accordingly. Bring a medical dictionary with you because he cannot speak to you as a layperson, he is more interested in hearing himself speak and trying to boost his ego by speaking in medical jargon. He showed little to no interest in hearing anything I had to say. Interrupting, rolled his eyes and rushed through the appointment. Told me he has little faith in his colleagues. Egotistical, arrogant, condescending and narcissistic. Will not be seeing him in the future.
