Dr. Jason Caplan is the worst doctor I have ever met. He is uncaring, rude, condescending, inaccurate, and dishonest. Avoid at all costs!

I just had the same horrible experience as everyone else. Please contact me via email with your experience. I'm filing STATE complaints and retaining an attorney. We'll all do it together and get his license pulled.

He is every bad stereotype of "quack" psychiatrist.

Dr Kaplan doesn't give an opportunity for for the patient to speak. Yes we're brief description of Kurt in the mission to the hospital, and when explaining how he interrupted said that's not brief. It was disrespectful and a vulnerable moment in my life. Current treatments I was having an outpatient basis he commented that were experimental and not effective. I believe that my outpatient treatment was effective in one aspect. Is flippant comments are not appreciated.

Didn’t go over test results, didn’t ask if I was having chest pain ( yes), I had a fever but didn’t look at vitals that were taken. Sat in his chair at the end of the bed, put his chin in his hand and went off on me asking me what I was going to do if he ordered an echocardiogram and a atrial septal Aneurysm showed up again. DUH, get treatment. He said it’s like a mole appearing on your arm. Read your own website, NIH, all the research. It can cause strokes. Your behavior scared me and I’ve worked in a mental hospital. You need your license pulled and a thorough background check including psych testing. He listened to my heart for 2 seconds and he billed insurance liked he checked me over. Fraud

Our family just had a very horrific experience with this dangerous egomaniac that dares to call himself a Doctor. Everything we have read in the other reviews mirrors what we dealt with. This man clearly enjoys terrorizing families with intimidation, dangerous threats of commitment with electric shock therapy, imminent death and bully tactics in front of the patient. Once he inserts himself into a medical patients care he takes over, drugs them out of thier minds and verbally attacks thier vulnerable and appropriately concerned family. Nothing in our experience with the medical community ever prepared us for this heartless, arrogant monster. We were completely ambushed and blindsided. He gathers all the staff to the patients room and they were obviously equally intimidated so much so that they were afraid to advocate for the patient because he somehow became a department chair. We were forced to remove our family member to another very well known hospital that obviously did not… agree with his radical treatment plan. They know our family member has multiple medical diagnosis not a psychiatric illness of any kind. Beware of Dr. Caplan who abuses his authority to the extreme. We think his license and at least his position should be pulled and he should be encouraged to seek the council of a more qualified psychiatrist for his own issues. How dare this man?

Jason Caplan is easily the most arrogant doctor I've ever come across. I've never met someone with worse bedside manner, a better ability to frighten or antagonize a patient, or less care for the ultimate health of their patients.

This doctor is horrible.I went to St. Joseph EM on New Year's Eve for a severe headache, high blood pressure and tongue pain. On Jan.1st. Dr. Caplan saw me and filed a petition to send me to a mental clinic named ConnectionsAZ UPC for 5 days. I suffered a lot without my medications for thyroid cancer and high blood pressure on the first 2 days. I could only drink fluid because of my tongue pain but they didn't offer it there. Being treated like a mental illness patient is nothing but a humiliation.This doctor sent me there just based on the talk between me and my husband on dinner table. He has no conscience, no empathy and no compassion for his patient. His decision was based on nothing solid or my behavior. I went there for severe pain which had nothing to do with psychiatry, but this psychiatrist showed up and locked me up in a psychiatric clinic for 5 days.I am 75 years old with cancer and now my condition is getting worse. Never ever go to this doctor. I will file a law suit… against him.

Horrible "doctor" who has a God complex. He's arrogant and rude and assumes he knows the situation before you have even explained the problem. Rude, rude, rude! Do not see this man if you want compassionate , patient and a good communicator because he has none if those qualities

Might be the only psychiatrist in Phoenix who knows what he's doing.
