Dr. Jason Faller, MD, FACR

He was on his phone for basically my whole appointment. What kind id doctoe does that.

He is so nice and the wait in the office is not long at all. The office staff are enthusiastic and kind; not dull and rude like most office staff in the city. I go to him every two months and have never had a problem there. Highly recommended!

I visited Dr. Faller's office this year; 2012 because I was in search for a specialist who had excellent reviews and I was afraid to go to just any doctor. It was fairly simple to make my appointment, the office assistant, on the telephone was courteous and I didn't have to wait a very long time for an appointment; many "great" doctors either don't take insurance (cash only) or patients have to wait a very long time to see them and neither was the case here. The office was a regular office and I waited only 10 minutes before he called me into his rather messy office. Dr. Faller asked me a host of routine health questions, I also brought in a copy of my last physical exam results, my results were normal including that I had tested negative for an ANA test done 6 months before my visit with Dr. Faller. My physical complaint was that I was feeling mild joint pain throughout the day especially in the morning, really only that was the reason for visit, otherwise I'm in my early 30's and… I'm a very healthy person, I had my first child 1 year ago from the time I visited Dr. Faller and thank God he's very healthy too. Minutes later we go into the examining room, there he takes my vital signs etc and draws my blood for testing, he tells me to call him in 2 to 3 days for my results. When I called as instructed Dr. Faller tells me that my blood results have come back and he said that I have Lupus. I was in between speechless and confused. The reason why I was confused was because I know people with Lupus and I also know that there is no definitive test that determines whether or not someone has Lupus, many, many tests have to be done followed by the ANA to diagnose properly. There's an ANA nuclear test that may INDICATE that a person has Lupus but just a positive result alone does not guarantee Lupus, in fact I was told by a physician that out of 100 positive ANA results, only 1 person truly has Lupus. Lupus is diagnosed primarily by the symptoms that one has and a very high positive ANA result affirms the diagnosis. So this is how the conversation went with Dr. Faller and myself, he says to me, you have Lupus do you want to start medication today? I ask him in a very desperate and afraid voice, how have you come to this conclusion? he answers back, you're ANA test result came back positive, it was 1:160 and then I replied, I thought this test was not an actual Lupus test then he proceeds to ask me, what are your symptoms again? and I replied, general achiness throughout the day then he says, well it could just be that you had a virus and that's what made test positive. He said you can come back in a month and re-check it or take Lupus medication starting today.I said I rather wait, and he said well what if you feel worse later on (by the way I was fine except as I had mentioned before that I had some mild achy feelings). I told him that I will wait and re-test in a month. Besides thinking that my life as I knew it was over and afraid for my well-being I felt that Dr. Faller was very unprofessional because number 1 that's NOT how Lupus is diagnosed, furthermore, Dr. Faller diagnosed such a serious illness without having my file in front of him including a record of my symptoms and with zero sympathy blurted this out. He simply sugguested medication without re-testing or without having accurate testing. Needless to say I would not ever go back to his office again. By the way I retested a few weeks ago and all my results are normal, my ANA came back negative and I feel great. All I did was take vitamin D supplements and getting more rest. Be very careful when choosing an unknown doctor. If you're not convinced get 2nd and 3rd opinions and ask a lot of questions and research any illnesses/medications that doctors tell you about. I went to see Dr. Faller after about 10 years of back and forth with doctors and PTs about my back pain. I spent about 10 minutes in the room with him, pushing and pulling roughly and rapidly at all my joints. He diagnosed me with a chronic condition. Absolutely no compassion. He told me to meet him in his office, barely explained my disease then wrote about 4 serious medications on a slip of paper and told me to pick one. Ridiculous. Horrible doctor. I went and got a second opinion and now see a rheumatologist who cares and takes her time with me.

this is the best doctor's office i've ever been to. The staff is outstanding- caring and helpful willing to do prior authorizations and fit me into the schedule when I'm sick- unlike other doctors offices. the doctor is great- a good diagnostician and very caring. amazing service especially considering my insurance doesnt pay anything near what they deserve!

I have been seeing this doctor for several years for my psoriatic arthritis. He correctly diagnosed and has treated my condition. I was able to speak to him after the visit with questions. The staff is friendly and highly efficient and understands my insurance and the problems it presents. The referrals I received (for a podiatrist, Dr. Delmonte, and for PT) were excellent. I highly recommend this doctor and staff to anyone intelligent enough to be able to recognize a good office. Spoiled babies and whiners need not apply! I don't want to run into you in the waiting room!

He drew blood from my right arm and I was left with a huge painful bruise that lasted for at least a couple weeks. It hurt when he did it and I knew right away that it wasn't good. I never get bruises from simple blood draws.He also implied that I had a pretty serious illness based on the test results. He gave me this information over the phone which was unprofessional and insensitive. To top it off, he was completely wrong and I learned from other doctors that those test results are far from conclusive for that illness and no self-respecting doctor would suggest it to a patient without further testing.

Professional staff. Never had to wait. Great bedside manner. Unfortunately, he couldn't figure out was wrong, and told me it was due to aging and to live with the discomfort. This was after being convinced I had arthritis and then a vitamin D deficiency, which I actually did have. Once that was cured, he ran out of ideas when the symptoms persisted.

Great "bedside" manner, professionalism, and technical skill - with a smile. He's prompt with scheduled appointments and was very accomodating when I needed to be seen for an emergency. Has a caring attitude. Staff is friendly and efficient.
