Dr. Jason Clifford Higdon, MD

First visit at Emory with Dr Higdon today. He was very attentive, patient, answered questions, pleasant, showed concerned, referred me for a MRI, explained every area of concern. I could not have had a better doctor visit experience

Former pt and worker in same clinic. As pt: I had little say in my health plan. His way or no way, no matter how pleasantly he states it. At work: no HIPAA violations, but disparages patients who speak their opinions or preferences, suggesting non-compliance. Mocks pts with certain diagnoses. As a patient, you likely won’t see this, unless you don’t share his opinion/commandment, but know this. Great bedside manner. Obviously knowledgeable. But rigid. Humans aren’t textbook cases. Condescends and outright belittles some (not a blanket statement) employees in practice, clinical or otherwise.

Dr. Higdon truly makes you feel that he cares about you. He takes the time to discuss your concerns. One instance in particular, Dr. Higdon made himself available to me, when I really needed his help. Even when I was not on his schedule, he found the time for me. I will never forget that experience and it's because of this I will continue to be his patient for a long time.
