Dr. Jason Christopher Kalan, MD

I took my kid to see Dr. Adam because he was having a very bad cough and cold. A intern check him up and Dr Adam came to do a little check and say that my son was OK. that he was having these symptoms because he was getting better!!! Who in the world would say that. Next day went back because my son was getting worst and another Dr saw him. Dr. Jason. He did not do any test to see if there was infection or something like that and just prescribe an antibiotics. two days later I took my son to ER with a several ear infection and a terrible flu. Matthews Vu could not do anything about my son. This was a second chance after they commit a neglect with my daughter and did not let me know her BG was at 500 and could get a Diabetic Comma. I already reported the case to the Colorado Health Department directly at Head Quarter in MI.

Dr. Kalan was the best doctor I ever had for my child. He was located up the street here in Colorado. After he married he left the practice. We all miss him. Not only is he a wonderful caring doctor but he specializes in kids with ADD. He kindly helped me navigate life after he diagnosed it in my daughter. He even recommended books and medicine. I think God sent him to us during that trying time. Moreover, this man caught my daughter's pneumonia before she needed to be hospitalized. This was after I was told it was "just a common cold" by a P.A.. He even called on his own time to check on her. He even said he put her on his prayer list. Tell me where you can find a doctor who calls when your kid is sick or prays for his patients? You folks in Wyoming are soooo blessed.

Wyoming is fortunate to have Dr. Kalan. He is a truly caring and compassionate Dr. and we were very fortunate to have him. He began treating me and my three siblings after the unexpected and violent death of our father. We came to him with varying degrees of depression and shock. He not only treated us but he treated my mother in some ways as well. He was there for us legally and emotionally after my sister was victimized. He was instrumental in helping my brother with Asberger's obtain the outstanding education at Denver Academy that he so richly deserved and I might add he graduated on the National Honor Society. He was the only Dr. my younger sister felt comfortable speaking with during her deepest and darkest time. He is probably the reason she is alive today.He was the Dr. I chose to take my children to. He even allowed me to make my appointments and my daughters with him back to back. My daughter suffers from life threatening asthma and I have no confidence in any of the Dr.s at… his old practice. They were rude and condescending. We are having problems with the schools nonchalance in the importance of my six year old's condition, having caused an admittance to ICU. If he were still here I know he would have been her gladiator. He is not afraid to DEMAND schools and other caregivers give proper care for his patients.We followed him to that practice. We left that practice when he did. We miss Dr. Kalan and wish him all the best. His new patients are so fortunate to have him. If he is slow to warm up to a previous reviewer just wait until you really need someone in your corner. He will be there.

Dr. Kalan was present on the night my son was born. We had unexpected complications, and he took the time to explain every detail of what was happening to my husband, and made sure my son was taken care of before leaving. We have since seen him a handful of times for well-baby visits. He was immediately attentive to my concerns about my son's bad reflux and helped us get him the appropriate medicine. It seems to take him time to warm up to you and be outwardly personable, but I truly believe he cares for his patients. We have not seen him long, but so far I have nothing but good things to report.

I've been thinking all night about my previous review. I need to revise it. Dr. Kalan was an amazing doctor and took such great care of us for all of his time in Colorado. He helped us through some very tough times. I know he loved his job and the families that he worked with. He has some amazing gifts. There were times that he had to be available to us in the middle of the night for phone calls and he always was there. He'd call back in the middle of the day for questions and concerns. I guess I just felt like his quick departure without any explanation felt like a bad break-up. He was someone we counted on and then he was gone without an explanation. Now that I think of it, it was probably his office in Colorado that chose to handle it poorly. With their refusal to offer any sort of understanding to our confusion and hurt, it was tough. Since his departure, the office has become very militant and no doctors are available for questions at anytime. The front desk ladies… are nasty. And, the docs and PAs refuse to offer the same level of care that Dr. Kalan did. Now that I've thought about it, it's those providers and staff that have been quite negative and hurtful with the few comments they've offered about cleaning us his disorganized paperwork. They've been very unkind. I do know that his old Parker office has lost quite a few patients because of his departure. He's a good, Christian man. I hope his new practice, patients and families, and town give him a fair try. He's always been very flexible and has found ways to support his families out here in Colorado to the best of his ability. We do miss him so!

Wow! We've all wondered where Dr Kalan disappeared to. We were patients of his in Colorado for all of his previous 9 years of experience. Imagine having him as your children's doctor for their entire lives and then showing up for an appointment and he was gone. It felt like he was part of our family. NOBODY knew where he went or what happened!! For months we asked if he was ok and we're told that they knew nothing about where or why he disappeared. After all that time, he knew our kids well, then nothing. His office now claims they've been cleaning up his disorganized messes since he left. What a mess! Basically he got married and disappeared. He obviously didn't care admixture for his patients and their families as they did for him!

Dr. Jason Kalan is a pediatrician who only sees children during school hours. There are no appointments available in the late afternoons, evenings, or weekends. He writes instructions and personal notes on the prescription forms, and the pharmacy copies those notes into their computer before they fill the prescription. The insurance company sees those notes and refuses to pay for the pharmaceuticals because they disagree with what Dr. Kalan has written. Dr. Kalan doesn't seem to know that the pharmacy keeps those prescription forms, and the patient doesn't have the instructions or personal notes after the prescription is filled. I question if Dr. Kalan knows much about insurance coverage or how insurance works. Dr. Kalan has told me two times that my co-pay and my deductible are the same thing.
