I had a consult with Dr Liauw about a severe sciatica problem affecting my right hip to my toes. He explained the procedure if my ongoing injections were ineffective. I appreciate the time he gave me and offered other solutions to get me better. Highly recommend!

Several months ago, I was diagnosed with a severe case of degeneration in my spine, including several sections that were "bone on bone" due to the complete destruction of some discs. As you can imagine, the prospect of major back surgery was terrifying. Until I met Dr. Jason Liauw and his remarkable team. I did my research, I was referred by doctors I trusted (Neurologist and Pain Management), and one thing was abundantly clear - Dr. Liauw has all the skills of an absolutely outstanding surgeon. He has an extraordinary education and record of success for his patients. He is meticulous. He is forward-thinking. He is amazing. He takes pride in his work (and others take pride in his work too - the Physical Therapy group keeps remarking how incredibly lucky I was to have Dr. Liauw as my surgeon). And they are right. He is "present" when meeting with you - in the office and in the hospital. My experience is that most surgeons have the capability to be very good at… treating patients due to their training and skills. Dr. Liauw takes that one step further and in addition to treating his patients' physical problems, he treats us with genuine kindness. There is a humanity he exudes that gives the comfort one needs to go into such a major surgery, and with his extraordinary surgical skills, that's the whole package. Everything you need in a surgeon. His team is fantastic - I worked with his P.A., Lauren Heinz and her responsiveness, care and expertise were clearly above expectations. My surgery was 12 weeks ago. It was a 7 1/2 hour procedure that produced immediate relief from that nerve pain I had been experiencing for months, even years. The first stages of recovery are, of course, tough; but each and every day I am stronger and can now see a future of hiking, biking, kayaking and other activities that have been unimaginable for years.
