Dr. Jason Vanalstine Smith, MD

He is truly one of the least competent ENT's in South Mississippi!

I was referred to Dr. Smith for sinus surgery. I did wait quite a bit to see him for my pre-op appointment. Any annoyance I had was resolved after meeting with Dr. Smith. His bedside manner is excellent and he takes the time to allow his patients to voice questions and/or concerns. He is very personable and he cares about his patients. He is also very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable with him doing my surgery. I highly recommend him.

After a long wait for a routine hearing test, my 2 year old son was midly anxious and a little bored. He wanted to investigate his surroundings. Nothing more. However, Dr. Smith proceeded to tell me that he was out of control and that I did not know how to discipline him. This is what he tells me after spending less than five minutes with us. I think it demonstrates a lack of professionalism to make such an insulting accusation based on so little evidence. It is also obvious that his lack of professionalism rubs off on the rest of his staff as they were all rude. They must have been having a bad day long before we got there.
