Dr. Jason Grant Taylor, MD

Though I have been diagnosed with PSS, he said everything was fibromyalgia. When I pointed out that I had NONE of the symptoms from the fibromyalgia information he gave me, beyond joint pain which is also a symptom of PSS, he said I still had fibro. When I asked to go back on the med I used for PSS but had to curtail because I needed abdominal surgeries unrelated to PSS, he ignored me and wanted to put me on a fibromyalgia med that causes liver damage.....something I already had from surgeries..... When I told him I didn't think I could take that medication, he told me there was nothing else he could do for me. It felt like patient abandonment. He doesn't listen. I didn't say I wouldn't take the drug, but that I couldn't. He has an idea in his head, and it doesn't matter what else you present him with, it is his way or the highway. I drive to Dallas to see a specialist there. She put me back on the medication I used to be on, and I am doing quite well. Much less joint pain.

I took my 66 year old wife to this guy and went in with her. She was sitting in a chair and not on the exam table because of pain. When he came in we asked him if he wanted her on the table. His response was "I don't care. She can sit on the floor." He never examined her or even touched her in any way. He was completely dismissive and totally disrespectful. He did diagnose her with fibromyalgia but did not prescribe her anything, instead passed the buck and told her to go back to her primary care dr. This guy is a jerk and I should have told him so at the time. Don't waste your time and money on this guy. Needs to be fired!

No help at all. I've been referred to him several times and never went because deep down I felt it would be a waste of my time. Seems like a rheumatologist should be able to take a lot of these small things that add up to possibly a bigger thing and help you figure that out. He just wanted to tell me what other doctors had told me was wrong not right. He told me that basically theres nothing wrong with me but didn't offer up to be helpful or offer any explanation as to what could be wrong. With all other doctors pointing me to him and him shutting me down, offering no advice, I'm left with no answers and no one to turn to. He was it, and I would not recommend him. Has a bad attitude in a subtle way. I even had a patient of my own the other day, who I told I was about to see him, tell me that she didn't really care for him, that he was too quiet, that he hasn't really helped her much, and she didn't care for him. She said she only saw him because she had to since her old doctor was no… longer here and he was the only person here in San Angelo. I was hoping for a better experience but that wasn't the case.

I previously had 2 Rheumatologists in other cities and Dr. Taylor is a big improvement. I believe he really cares about my well being. We talk about my test results and other things that impact my health. He does not rush through the appointment, taking time to thoroughly any questions that I may have.

Dr Taylor was rude, condescending, dismissive, and talked down to me as if I was an inferior child. One of the worst bedside manners I've ever experienced. I felt humiliated. Shannon should seriously look into replacing Dr Taylor for their own benefit.

He came into the room and took one look at me and said you always had big hands because your big and over weight. I don't consider him a doctor and I would never go there again. My dog gets treated better at the vet.

Pompous and arrogant. Bad bedside manner. Intimidating.

I HAD BEEN HURTING FOR A LONG TIME AND NOW AT LEAST I HAVE A DIAGNOSIS AND UNDERSTAND THAT I CAN BE TREATED TO FEEL BETTER.

Dr. Taylor is a very self-center man. I just can't use the title of doctor when referring to him.I went to see him because of a knee problem and he took less than 3 minutes to tell me "what do you expect, after all you are 63 year old and 30 pounds over weight". He never looked at my MRI results or my records. Worst thing was that he NEVER looked me in the eye!I then told him that I would like to discuss my lupus and he immediately stopped me. He told me that he didn't believe that lupus was a "real disease". Just something that someone made up when they couldn't come up with anything else.I seriously would like to see Shannon get rid of him because he is not good for their reputation.

Dr. Taylor should be renamed Dr. Doorknob. It was as if he was trying to get out of the room as soon as he came in! The exam was too cursory and dismissive. He was in the room with me less than 5 minutes and asked probably 3 questions. I felt treated as if I was inferior and stupid..God complex much?
