Avoid at all cost. I went to Dr Baker for high blood pressure. He put me on something that made me swell. He then saw what he did, and tried me on other medication, but it didn’t completely work. Instead of adding on another medication, he wanted me to see a nephrologist to make sure there wasn’t an under lying cause and then make a new appointment with him. When I did so, and the nephrologist found no any underlying cause and said to continue to see Dr Baker to adjust meds until my BP was properly controlled, his nurse called me and said Dr baker gives up and to find a new doctor. Run from this man. I worked in cardiology for over a decade and he only tried me on two meds and saw me two times. TERRIBLE PHYSICIAN.

Dr. Baker has been treating my husband since his recent heart attack. He is compassionate, truthful and medically extremely knowledgeable and conservative. He is what constitutes the best of medical care.

Heart Disease runs in my family. I have had numerous issues before and after chemo and radiation. I have had a cardiologist since I was28 years old. I was told to reduce stress, take a Xanax, and he would see me again in 6 months. I had been sitting at 145 over 95 for over 3 years. A nurse friend who told me hypertension over years would cause significant damage to my heart. He said I was fine. He wasn’t concerned about 145/95. My nurse friend told me to find a different cardiologist who would listen to me, take me seriously, and offer options instead of “ reduce stress” and tell me I am fine.

Always caring and compassionate. Never overreacts but when I was told that I had CHF on an ER visit he sent me for an angiogram the next day. The day after I had double bypass surgery @ Holy Cross and had it not been for his quick response and diligence I wouldn't be writing this review!...THE BEST

Only cares about money

Orders tests and never calls with results. You don't find out good or nad till your next vidit in 3 to 6 months. Not good when results are abnormal. For this reason, I've left and found another doctor who takes more interest in test results.

At my first visit with Dr. Baker I was 30 and pregnant, in my second trimester, and just discharged from the hospital. He took one look at me, hesitated for a minute because I was not his usual patient, walked into the room with a smile and sat down next to me and said let's start from the beginning. Twenty four years later and an av node ablation and 2 different pacemakers later he still walks into the room with a smile on his face, sits down next to me and asks me how I'm doing. Only difference 24 years later is that he doesn't hesitate when he walks in the room. He's confident, personable and compationate and an intelligent cardioligist who cares about his patients.

Dr. Baker is personable, knowledgeable and really takes time to listen. He is calm in his assessments and isn't prone to hysteria or unnecessary tests but does cover all the bases. He has set me on the right track for my meds and I am very happy to have him as my cardiologist and would recommend him to others.
