I agree with ALL the negative reviews...I went to him 20 years ago with a irregular Pap test...he did a colposcopy in his office a which was painful beyond words, then called me in a week to say it was inconclusive and had me go back for a second colposcopy. After another week, he said I had human papilloma virus!! I WAS A VIRGIN! Never had any exposures. he wanted to do a cold knife cone biopsy on me, but I said NO! Had I listened to him, I would never had conceived a baby ever!! He was not caring or listened to my fears and concerns. He is a arrogant jerk with no compassion for women AT ALL...he scolded me not to cry like a baby and grow up!! I was too young to understand where to file complaints to the state then, but don't let this arrogant idiot touch your body. He shouldn't be in practice at all....I came into this site hoping to see he was golem but sad to see he is practicing in Manhattan now...

After many years under his care, Jay was with us (for over 24 hours) delivering our first-born. We moved from nyc shortly after and never found an ob/gyn as wonderful, caring, and empathetic as Jay Bauman. Perhaps a tad eccentric?....but who likes cookie-cutter. I'd say he's interesting. He has strong opinions, backed by his experience, education and values, which he shares. I like that! He has a warmth about him. I found that he truly cares about people....some who happen to be his patients.

I've beed a patient of Dr. Bauman's for about 17 years. (I'm 38 yrs old.) He delivered my 2 children and has helped me through some pretty rough times. He can be a bit eccentric, so if that's not your thing, he may not for you. I absolutely love him and his assistant Millie. I truly can't imaging going to anyone else.

Great bedside manner, brilliant, thoughtful, respectful and always keeps calm no matter how stressful the situation. He is ALWAYS there for you. He's the best doctor I've EVER went to!!!

I came to get a diagnosis for pregnancy loss. Dr Baumann's practice were not enough on the ball to send the tissue in for the right diagnosis, which was the whole purpose. A terrible time in my life, and a horrible day, and yet as I asked questions Dr Bauman suggested that I should take over for him, since I seemed to know so much. He left a bloodied glove on the computer keyboard in the examining room.

Dr. Bauman is the most wonderful Doctor and Human being. He is brilliant and compassionate. Dr. Bauman is very patient and cool under pressure, extremely confident. I trust him with my life..and feel very comfortable knowing I am in good hands.

IF I HAD STAYED WITH THIS MAN AND FOLLOWED HIS ADVISE I WOULD BE DEAD NOW. I LEARNED NEVER TO TOLERATE BAD BEDSIDE MANOR FROM ANY DOCTOR AGAIN.

drbauman is great, caring, warm, lots of experience.would highly recommend, he is my doctor and delivered my 3 kids and he is great

Dr. Bauman has delivered four of my five children. I am now pregnant with my 6th and he is the only doctor that I trust implicitly to do what is right for me. I have no words but THANK YOU!!!

My experience with Dr. Bauman was outstanding. I found him to warm and compassionate and always available. I never felt rushed or minimized.
