Dr. Jay Everett Hopkins

Dr. Hopkins performed 2 surgeries on my while attending an area college while playing baseball. He performed athroscopic surgery on my knee and a modified bristow surgery on my shoulder. Some 25 plus years.later they both are still feeling great. Thanks Dr J. Would highly recommend him.

Dr. Hopkins came in on a Saturday morning to do surgery on my left wrist that I had broken the night before. He saw me at the emergency room the night of the injury, and arranged for the surgery the next morning. It was a severe break with both the ulna and radius broken. Four pins were put in during surgery, and my recovery was excellent. Virtually no loss of movement in my wrist and I have had no complications, such as arthritis, etc. Very satisfied with his work.

Told him about injury to mid to upper back and all he could do was focus on previous injury from 3 years before. Wrote up diagnosis wrong and I tried for 8 months to have it corrected and never would. Set me up for p.t. and was for lower back and caused reinjury to upper back even after numerous complaints to him and p.t. He retired 2 weeks after first visit and I still couldn't get his replacement to fix problem. The doctors only spend about 5 minutes with you and then they don't even listen. I took updated xrays to show him and he lied about looking at them until I kept asking questions and then he had to get his nurse to find the xrays. The 2 doctors I have dealt with at this office are a joke.
