Dr. Jay Jurkowitz, MD

I was referred to this doctor, and I would not recommend him at all, as he did not even really take the time to read my MRI or discuss the results with me. Jay Jurkowitz was completely dismissive of my condition, which I still have. He condescended me a lot, and I found him very rude. Do not waste your time with him! Careless doctor!

Worst experience with a health professional! Horrible. Valet ONLY. Street parking: good luck finding a spot. Complicated getting there. CASH only. The "doctor", Jurowitz, doesn't want to pay credit card fees. I am disabled so always arrive super early. I arrived to this office 45 min ahead of time since I was a new patient. Ten minutes pasty my 2PM appointment on a Friday, Maria at the reception window tells me: "The doctor will not be able to see you today. He is busy with something else that we have going on today. Would you like to reschedule for another time?" I got upset and walked out of there. Best choice ever. I was too upset and still am.

Doc diagnosed me with Parkinson's 15 years ago. I've probably met 100 neurologists since then while participating in various clinical trials. Doc is the ONLY one who's gotten to know me. The others simply treat my symptoms regardless of what's going on with me. Doc varies my treatment based not only on his extensive knowlege of Parkinson's but on how and what is happening in my life. I ditto the previous reviewer...there are no words adequate in my praise and gratitude for Dr. Jay Jurkowitz. I nominate him for sainthood!

I've been a patient of Dr. Jurkowitz since 1999. Words fail me in expressing what a great, caring man he is. He recently moved to Ventura and it's fantastic. Dr. Jurkowitz is not you typical doctor. He's almost always on call ( all the time during the week). He promptly returns your calls.This is a Doctor that would wake up to return a call, call into another hospital your problem. He's one of a kind!! I can't say enough kind/true things about any other Doctor. He's one of a kind.
