Dr. Morgan a board certified neurosurgeon at Sierra Neurosurgery Group has many areas of interest in neurosurgery, but his specialties lie in treating complex spine disorders and cerebral vascular disease. He also has extensive experience with the artificial lumbar disc replacement, a promising new treatment for degenerative disc disease.

Joining Sierra Neurosurgery Group in 1993 after serving on the academic staff at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he completed his residency. Dr. Morgan is currently Chief of Neurosurgery at the region's largest hospital, Renown Regional Medical Center, and Clinical Instructor at the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine Department of Surgery.

Dr. Morgan is a member of numerous prestigious organizations including the American Medical Society (AMA), American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), Nevada State Medical Association, North American Spine Society, Western …Neurological Society, he also sits on the board of directors for the Washoe County Medical Society and ThinkFirst of Northern Nevada.

Dr. Morgan was excellent. He diagnosed and corrected the pain in my back by performing a laminectomy.

Contacting the clinic is virtually impossible; electronic phone answering only and no return calls. Followup after surgery can't be arranged without contact. Over 20 weeks now after surgery and no real follow-up and analysis of the results by the surgeon. The surgery itself seems to be OK but no way to be sure without the surgeon's analysis and opportunity to ask questions.

Surgery went well (I guess). No follow up until apt with PA 11 days post op.

Dr. Morgan may be the best Doctor on the face of the planet. He is skilled without a doubt he is also kind, sincere and compassionate. I did and will again trust him completely to preform a surgery. If he is or you have the privilege of him becoming your Doctor thank your lucky stars. He really is simply the best.

I wish all doctor care as much as Dr. Jay Morgan. I've had two surgeries by Dr. Morgan, assisted by Dr. William Dawson, and I have nothing but praise for his skills. I've gone from extreme pain to no pain. Dr. Morgan gave me back my very active life. I trust him completely with any decision. I also would like to thank Beckie, Sue and Cristi, his staff, for quick, accurate and caring support of Dr. Morgan. The above is my opinion.
