Dr. Jay V Narola, MD

Dr. Narola was able to see my son within hours of my call. He has been consistent with addressing every concern we have voiced. He is open with the plan of care and ensures that my son is improving with his quality of life at each visit. He schedules follow ups consistently and allows my son, my husband, and myself to have an opportunity to address our concerns and viewpoint.

I came to Dr. Narola after 3 months out of substance abuse treatment very depressed, aniexty, PTSD, and panic attacks also was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He worked with me on meds and got me to feeling normal again. I thought I would never be happy again I had given up on finding happiness he helped me and I am forever grateful. I found a job, stopped smoking, and remained drug free in my treatment. I wish I had went to him sooner.

I spent decades dealing with severe anxiety and depression. Dr. Narola has been such a help to me. He keeps close check on his patients to make sure the patients goals are met. He adjust meds as needed to find the correct combination for you. I can’t thank him enough and wish I had found him way before now.

First, Dr. Narola is very upfront with you and he can see right through those seeking drugs and will tell you that upfront. Thats one of the reasons we really like him. I would not feel comfortable in a waiting room with people who have a drug addiction, sorry, but I wouldn't. Dr Narola will tell you what you need to hear whether you want to hear it or not. Thats his job is to help you and not only his job but he genuinely care about his patients. Some of the reviews said he spends 5 or 6 mins tops with them, I can honestly tell you that if there are concerns and problems he will spend an adequate amount of time with you trying to work to help you. I know this because I've been taking my grand daughter to him probably for 5 yrs now. She has ADHD, mood disorder, anxiety etc..... the meds work, the meds don't work they are changed along with her changing and growing, but we are getting there. I honestly recommend anyone needing mental health to seek out a professional who meets… your needs. For us it was Dr. Narola. There's never any shame in getting the help you need. Its better than suffering a lifetime without any help.

Narola's appointments always, always last five minutes. He tells you that you are one of the few he needs to save time with but it kind of loses meaning if you tell that to every patient. He will ask, what has happened with my meds, if you mention a side effect or how the medicine isn't helping, he will become very defensive and say it was another doctor's prescription, never his. If you are not making progress, he will not be afraid to tell you that you are lazy and that you are simply relying on HIS medicines too much. He has no idea how to talk to patients let alone treat them.

His first appointment with you, he will ask what other people around town have been saying about him. Very thick skin lol. His sessions last between 4 and 6 minutes. He is condescending, tells you that you are to blame if "his" medicines aren't helpful. Usually in Psychiatry the physicians are more caring than in other specialties, Narola is the exception. His staff have also been demanding and do not respond to most questions within two weeks. Beware of those supposedly perfect reviews where the patient is practically in love with the doctor. There are, in fact, other doctors around. You just have to look for them.

Dr Narola has absolutely changed my life. Since I was 9 yrs old, I fought MDD, Panic attacks, fear of going places, and would cry just about everyday. I lived in fear snd Depression. I got to place I didn’t want to live anymore and tried to end my life. Dr Narola has absolutely changed my life! I no longer look to the past! I look to my future! He gives great advise, and thinks about you!!! He cares so much for his patients! I recommend him to anyone fighting any mental illness! You do not have to fight this on your own! There is reasons for Dr’s and you are not alone! Dr’s are sent for people like us and he has made me realize I have a beautiful mind! He is the best!!!! I’m so so thankful for Dr Narola!

4 years ago I was considering suicide after a life time of depression and anxiety. Doctor Narola quickly diagnosed my problems and prescribed the right medications for me. I began feeling better inside of a week. That and talk therapy turned my life around. He will not listen to "pity parties" (which I quickly learned). A true professional. Then my healing began. This Doctor is highly skilled, very personable, knowledgeable and an understanding listener. I have seen many Psychiatrists in the past but none helped me. Doctor Narola helped turn my life around and I highly recommend him. He's the best!

Before getting psychiatric care I was always severely depressed and anxious. Since being treated by Dr. Narola and getting the help I need I'm finally feeling relief from my symptoms. I feel more happy, confident, and comfortable than I ever have in my life. He is a very compassionate doctor and has always been so patient and kind. Highly recommend!

This dr has helped me so much, I came into his office loosing my breath, couldn’t leave my home and scared to death of meds, I completely believe he knows the meds and understands depression and anxiety, he has been really good to me, and watches the meds great, which is what I needed cause I’m scared of them,I’ve seen the changes in myself, I am now looking for work and not loosing my breath, i couldn’t believe how sick I got , and he has been great for me thank u dr
