Dr. Teresa Lynne Delawter, MD

Dr Delawter doesn't take insurance. What she does do is overcharge and misinform. She also put my teen on way too strong of a medication that causes bad sedation and weight gain when better options were available. Take your business and your insurance card to a place that isn't trying to bleed people dry. Don't learn the hard way like I did.

I've been seeing her for years. Her office assisstant a bit stand offish at first but is extremely friendly once you get to know her. Dr Delawter when I first started with her started me off with a lot of different meds she used what she learned from how they affected me. Since then she changed to fewer drugs. Occasionally adding new drugs that maybe handle what two of my rxs did. I moved from 18 or so pills a day when hozpitalized down to what I take now.I take 3 at night with the option to add one at night if I feel I need it and another as needed for anxiety. She has always makes me feel at home, always makes you feel like you are taking to a friend, and remembers things going on in your life. I drive a ways to see her cause it's worth it to me

This woman is the most bizarre doctor I have ever met. After moving to the area and not knowing any better, I picked her as my new local psychiatrist because I could get in to see her right away. I had been diagnosed with depression, but after seeing her ONCE she had me convinced that I was schizophrenic and manic depressive. She started me on medications that made me extremely ill for weeks, including tremors and disorientation and I came very close to losing my job. Every time I would try to call, she would dismiss me that the meds just needed time to work and that my body would adjust. Well, I got so sick that I went to my general physician thinking there was something else wrong with me. I was at toxic levels of medications that I did not need but blindly trusted her, and she would not listen or care. I saw a different psychiatrist and they have seen no evidence of the schizophrenia that Dr Delawter diagnosed after a 30min visit. PLEASE AVOID THIS WOMAN. She is bizarre, incompetent… and preys on desperate people who don't know any better... like I did.

She was caring, patient, and not just for her personality. She was kind to check all the labs before put me in medication. Definitely GO TO HER!!!!

Is working out of her BIG house that you are paying for. Quick to diagnose w/wild theories to back up. Quick to over med you up. Doesn't wait for meds to work & makes changes. Had a bad reaction to said meds & she was NO help! I don't trust her I far as I can throw her.

SHE IS THE WORST- DONT GO TO HER- SUCKS YOU DRY AND DOESNT CARE- LOVES TO GIVE YOU DOPE AND NOT MUCH HOPE- THEY SHOULD TAKE HER MEDICAL PRACTICE FROM HER

Dr. Delawter is on permanent probation with the state because of sexual misconduct. She is bizarre at times at cannot manage time making patients wait for appointments.

I felt like I received a rushed diagnosis (within first few minutes of first meeting). Second opinion revealed that diagnosis was inaccurate and medications given were unnecessary/dangerous. Doing very well under second opinion's diagnosis and treatment plan.

way to quick to diagnose, didn't listen to me when i had concerns about medications, usual wait time from scheduled appt was 30 minutes to over an hour. charged $250 for missed appt myself and my kids were sick. another illness was found and she wouldn't change meds, she prescribed way to much medications for my condition and never completely tested me for it.
