Dr. Turner is one of the finest health care providers I have ever met. He has professional credentials that will stack up against any other neurosurgical spine specialists practicing in the US. In addition he has a very kind and engaging bedside manner. I am a retired neurosurgeon living in Scottsdale, AZ. He was thorough discussing the problem, the treatment options as well as the recovery process. Although I am super anxious about having a spinal surgery performed, he did his best in making me feel at ease.

Dr Turner is the best there is . First off he takes any case no matter how difficult to help the patient. He is a personalble surgeon that lets you know the honest truth. He’s done 4 surgeries on me and I’m not an easy patient. I’m a large very very muscular man that scares most surgeons away but Dr Turner works miracles

67 year old female with 47° curvature of spine, active, can play tennis, but lots of trouble with standing and walking with severe lower back pain severely impacting quality of life. Dr. Turner examined my MRI, CAT, and two X-rays saying he could take the curve away with a much larger fusion with a 50% chance of success. Took my chance because of deterioration of quality of life and wanting to remain active. My back operation was a complete success. Able to stand and walk without pain and able to return to tennis. Dr. Turner is such a kind, realistic, level-headed, and extremely capable surgeon that has done many of these types of operations each year.

I was referred to Doctor Turner by Dr Randall Porter because I developed further spine issues. He addressed the issue immediately and operated to repair the critical issue and did a great job. There was a problem with the hardware that failed and he immediately replaced the hardware and I am doing the best I ever have. I became a patient of Dr. Turner a little over 2 years ago. In my late 50’s my spine started to bend and it was going fast. I submitted my records to Dr. Turner and had an appointment with him within a week. Our first impression of Dr. Turner was his active listening. We had so many questions and I wasn’t so scared. He did not hurry us along at all. He sincerely let us have as much time as we needed. Surgery was scheduled, I was VERY nervous, Dr. Turner had predicted that it would take at least 10 hours to do the surgery, he was right. He was able to correct my spine and my body was straight again. Dr. Turner is by far the most sincere, kind, caring doctor I have ever dealt with in my life. Dr. Turner’s support. staff are super accommodating and are always there to help if you need anything. Again, something I have never experienced in my life. I know that whenever I need their help, they are there. I recommend Dr. Turner and “his girls” to anyone who may need a… neurologist. Without a doubt god was watching over me and brought Dr. Turner in my life when I needed the best Nero doctor around :0)

Dr Turner is simply the best. He corrected a previous operation that I had gave me my life back. Great doctor, great man, the best in his field.

dodged back surgery for over 9 years. met with dr. turner and after 5 min. knew I trusted him with my back. before i was too scared of surgery to let anyone cut on my back. surgery went great, pain was gone day after. nobody else will ever cut on my back unless it's him. his staff is excellent and on top of everything.

I was understandably nervous about facing a difficult surgery...until my husband and I met with Dr Turner. During that initial meeting he took the time to get to know us, then thoroughly explained what the surgery would entail,, why it was important for me, what the possible risks were and what the likely outcome should be. He took the time to answer alll of our questions, never evidencing any impatience to get on with his day. Dr Turner was attentive both before and after surgery. I am now four weeks out of surgery, beginning to feel much better, appreciating the accuracy of what Dr Turner prepared us to expect during the recovery process. I've been a Professional golfer for 25 years and have had severe lower back pain for 20 of those 25 year. I had been mis-diagnosed since 2000 and it seriously affected not only my playing ability but everyday activities were quite challenging. I had just flown back from the RIO olympics to Scottsdale due to dabilitating pain. I was transferred from Shea hospital to Barrows and Dr. Turner and he informed me that if I don't have the spinal surgery I'd be in a wheelchair and on pain pills for the rest of my life. The surgery that I had was extremely risky but Dr. Turner was very thorough and he informed me of all the possibilities and outcomes. Here's the miracle part of this story, I'm going to be the first professional golfer to ever heal from this procedure and will be rejoining the tour in 2020. In closing a persons health is one of the most important keys to everything from being able to work but more importantly live a quality life with your family, friends, and children.
