Dr. Jaye Douglas Crowder, MD

He literally had other another patients’ information out when I came in. I don’t want to see other people’s diagnoses or problems. He takes pleasure in others’ pain. He made me tell my mother directly “I forgive you” during our appointment and would not listen to either of us or our concerns. He’s more concerned about his dog needing to go for a walk than being punctual for my appointment. He literally took his dog out during my scheduled appointment time. What on earth?! Worst doctor I’ve ever seen in my life!!! He tried to make jokes out of my misery! Horrible experience.

100% unprofessional. He was insulting in every way and could not get off of his liberal agenda tangent. He needs to go back to gain professionalism training. Discourteous, pompous, rude, and a total waste of time and money!!

In my opinion, Dr. Crowder is an awesome psychiatrist! He is smart, gifted, skilled and compassionate. I mean, if want to get well, see him. You'll be glad you did.

Jaye has a liberal agenda and selfishness that interferes with his ability to proper diagnose and treat his patients. He is busy making his corporate drug pushing over properly prescribing medicine to his patients. Jaye is a smart man and comes off as a very empathetic individual, but in the end he is only about the dimes and nickels.

Personable, engaging, reads people well, wins trust. Very knowledgeable.

This psychiatrist was quick to judge prior to obtaining all facts, He is insensitive to individuals suffering from trauma and how it effects memory of one's events. He also does not have a true understanding for folks that have family member's that suffer from alcoholism nor the effects that it plays on others. I would encourage this provider to refine his skills of working with people, develop empathy and sensitivity to others as well as his improve his clinical judgement.

I was disappointed in how little he cared

Dr. Crowder is the best psychiatrist I have ever found (and yes, I have seen many). He is exceptionally intelligent and an excellent diagnostician. He is very blunt/direct in his manner, and even though I did not like what he told me about myself, I realized that it was indeed true. I suspect that the negative reviews here are from patients who did not like what Dr. Crowder had to say about their mental health and/or character. His therapy is centered on a no-nonsense approach; he is caring but is most interested in helping you deal with your current problems rather than rehash your childhood and mommy issues. If you want a practical, helpful approach with direct answers to your questions, this is your doctor. If you want to whine about your past and blame everyone else for your predicament, move on.

I too felt that this doctor was passive agressive. He let a medical student and an intern listen in on a session, which I later found to be unethical. After waiting months for his written report, it had numerous inaccuracies. He made convoluted conclusions based on his brief trite interpretations. He made ridulous findings; in fact when a judge reviewed his report, the judge stated it was the most outragous document they had ever seen submitted for a trial and would not allow it as evidence. My employer immediately settled my case before the trial began.I am confounded that this "Doctor"is allowed to testify in court as to a person's mental state.
