Dr. Takata offers one of the most thorough examinations of any doctor I have seen over the years, shows personal concern for patient well-being, presents effective treatment regimes and good follow-up. At age 72, I have experienced years of back and leg challenges, and his diagnosis and treatment have given me renewed flexibility and energy. I would recommend him to anyone with a physical mobility challenge.

I had to wait 2 months for an appointment and finally called someone named Allison and left msg (they never answer) that I'm having pain and need either an earlier appt or referral. No reply. I waited 1 week, finally called again. She claimed she "misunderstood" and that there was no earlier appt. I said, "Do you think the pain went away because you don't have an earlier appt? Didn't it occur to you to return the call?" I had been referred by my surgeon, which told the ofc when I made appt, and he is one of the best in the state. Bad way to treat referral, and bad way to handle calls. I also don't like the rating from another person, saying her husband has been going for a while and is just getting pain meds and not getting better. Hope someone from the ofc is reading this - word gets around fast on this island, no matter how good the business.

My husband has been seeing the doctor for 6 mos. without any change in his pain condition. He is even worse and all he is given are pills and more narcotics. Seems to be no rush in helping him! MRI's take days to schedule, return calls take alday. I would stop going but my husband seems to keep hanging in there.
