Dr. Jean M Atwood, MD

Stay away!! Worst physician I have ever met. No bedside manner. She has no idea what she is doing? If You want a healthy birth don’t see her.

I have been in her care for 14 post baby years. Dr Atwood is bright, intuitive and caring. Always takes time to listen.

Dr Atwood was extremely personable. She was very easy to talk to and she listened. I came in with real concerns and if there are any isuues I do believe she will find the avenue to solve if at all possible. Very good first visit!!

I started seeing her when I was 15, I am now in my late 30’s. She is very caring, kind and compassionate. I am now bringing my oldest to her that she delivered 17 years ago! I would recommend her to anyone!

Admitted to hospital for severe back and pelvic pain. Endometriosis three times in my last resulting in hysterectomy and two laps several years later. Advised this felt like the same pain and was taken care of by other doctors with tests, exams and genuine discussions. Dr Atwood came in my room, spent 15 minutes asking questions, ordered blood work and never heard from her again. Was discharged after four days based on the fact that she said I was not a surgical candidate. Knowing that you can only detect endometriosis through a laparoscopic procedure. Then had the audacity to tell me she needed to educate me on endometriosis. I’ve lived it! Don’t need educated! So my husband threw her out of my room because they were sending me home in severe pain based on a doctor who never touched me, examined me or paid me regular visits like all the other doctors. Refused to see me as follow up like my discharge papers said because of the confrontation with my husband. I guess my question… in her care is how do you know what was wrong with me if you never examined me? Luckily I have found a doctor who will take the time to care for me!

Dr. Atwood is smart, friendly, and compassionate. I trust her beyond what I do many doctors I have seen. She was my surgeon at one point, and I continue to see her now that I am post-menopausal. She's wonderful!

Dr. Atwood has been my OB since my first gyno appointment 10 years ago. She delivered my daughter and will be delivering my son in a couple of months. I've always loved her and her office staff (Becky, the nurse practitioner, is really tremendous). Great bedside manner and I always feel like I'm in good, capable hands. There's never a lengthy wait in the office and scheduling is never a problem. Wouldn't go to anyone else!!!

Dr. Atwood operated on me for a large fibroid ten years ago and sees me for annual gyn visits. It's like meeting a long-time and trusted friend again when I have an appointment.

She rushed through my prenatal visits. Wasn't present for my delivery beacuse she had a flight to catch, pushed for 6 hours, ended up with a preventable c-section. Horrible post partum care, even after a c-section. Scared me for life with having another baby. Will not recommend her and will never go there again.

Old school doctor patient relationship. A regular person! Noever want to lose her as a doc!
