Dr. Jean Carol Cook, MD

If I can give All About Women Obstetrics & Gynecology a zero star rating, I would do so in heartbeat. I have had a horrible experience with Dr. Jean Cook. This morning I went to All About Women Obstetrics & Gynecology office for a preconception exam with Dr. Cook, but I left crying and feeling disrespected as a Vietnamese American. I had wanted to check the results of my pregnancy test among other concerns, but Dr. Cook failed to perform her duty as a medical professional. She did not provide me with proper care or treatments. I was wearing a mask to protect myself and others, as many others are, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. When Dr. Cook entered the examination room where I waited, she did not respond to my "Hello", she did not make eye contact with me, she slammed the door in front of me. She told me she would not see me again after today. Without discussion, without examination, and without knowing my medical history, she made incorrect assumption that I have COVID-19. I… was in shock. This woman as a medical professional and yet, without testing of any kind, she "diagnosed me" with COVID-19. I came into this office today after reading how wonderfully kind and considerate Dr. Cook was in reviews left by others. I was hopeful that she could dispel my worries and reassure me about my pregnancy and be able answer my questions as she has been practicing gynecology for many years. Instead, I left the office feeling disrespected, discriminated against, and bullied. I cried as I drove home. I never expected a medical professional such as Dr. Cook to act in the racist manner she did towards me today. I will be notifying the Florida Department of Health about my experience.

Dr. Cook goes beyond the expectations of a Doctor. I have had two visits and would never go any other place. She explains everything in detail. Such a kind person. I recommend her 100%

Dr. Cook is an excellent doctor! She is a kind, caring, knowledgable person. She delivered my first and third child and has cared for my OB/GYN needs for over 20 years. I trust Dr. Cook and highly recommend her to others.

Dr. Cook is wonderful! She always goes above and beyond the expectations of a doctor, she helped my husband and I with a tubal reversal and we couldn't be happier with her as a doctor, person and advocate for her profession, we look forward to thinking of her as a friend with our upcoming pregnancy.
