Dr. Jean-Pierre Alain Riou, MD

I expected so much better, from an experienced surgeon, who's been in this area for over 20 years. I wish I would have listened to my gut, when the entire staff, including Dr. Riou, rushed me in and out at the first consultation. It was like they were herding cattle. Give us the money, if you want on our calendar now. From there it just got worse. One of my areolas is not even a circle. And he made it half the size of the other one, even though he had a lot more to work with on that one. It went from being my bigger areola for my whole life, to the smallest one. A 4th grader could have cut a better circle. Had a hematoma the day after surgery, which sent us in for emergency surgery, that I'm still trying to pay off. And this was followed by a major infection on the other breast, with oozing goo that smelled like rotting flesh, when I took the steri-strips off. Of course this happened over a weekend, so I had to suffer through it until I could get them on the phone on Monday… morning. They saw me at 4 weeks, to be sure I was healing from the multiple issues but had no time to listen to my concerns over the misshapen cut out, or just didn't want to hear it. They told me I didn't need to come in for the 6-week follow-up, at that point. But then, just to add insult to injury, they left numerous voicemails several months later, trying to reschedule my 6-WEEK follow up. Surgery was in early May, and they were leaving these messages in Oct/Nov. The ineptitude of this staff to pay attention, lets you know how little they care. I would not recommend them to anyone. I'm considering seeking counsel. I just haven't had time to deal with it. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one, is that he didn't kill me, and the overall shape and size of each breast, match well.

Dr. Riou and staff are simply amazing! From initial consult to my follow up appointment at 1-year post-op, my experience has been wonderful. I'm extremely satisfied with the outcome of my breast augmentation! So satisfied, I referred a friend. She also had surgery by Dr. Riou and is beyond thrilled. All in all, good people with experience to ensure a smooth process with amazing results!

Dr. Riou’s work is superlative! He is very meticulous with the work that he does and he makes sure every measurement is precise from the first visit to the last. I went in for an implant exchange and revision from a previous automobile accident, breast tissue tear, and came out looking absolutely flawless! He and his staff answered all of the questions I had and made the process extremely easy. He truly cared about my needs and was not trying to up-sell. Not to mention I consulted with 4 other surgeons and his was the absolute best price around. I HIGHLY recommend seeing Dr. Riou for all of your plastic surgery needs!!

I chose to use Dr. Riou after my daughter and daughter-in law used him for breast augmentation with excellent experiences! At 62, I had a lift to one breast and augmentation. Dr. Riou and his staff were so warm and informative from the consultation to the the follow/up appointments! I was extremely pleased with the results and would recommend him with no reservations to anyone interested in using his services! I plan to go back and begin Botox for my forehead.

I am so happy that I made the decision for Dr, Riou to preform my breast augmentation. He and his staff are super kind and helpful. I came in for my consultation with many questions, Dr. Riou answered every single question I had. He did not rush through my appointment and took his time. I decided to schedule my surgery only a week after my consultation and have been so satisfied with the results. I went from a small A cup to a small D cup, and they look and feel so natural even being 6 weeks post surgery. I live 2.5 hours away from his office. Knowing I had a far drive home, Dr. Riou and his medical staff were able to schedule my surgery early so I could get home by noon. I had a few questions a few weeks after surgery and called the office for answers, the office staff did not mind to answer any of the questions that I had over the phone! I am sooo happy with my results and even more satisfied with choosing Dr. Riou as my surgeon!

Dr Riou and his staff are amazing. He took the time with me needed to be sure we were on the same page. My results are amazing. I have seen him for 2 different procedures. He truly cares about his patients and takes the time to get to know you. His staff are so friendly, kind and compassionate! I highly recommend Dr Riou and his staff.

I've always struggled with insecurities regarding my small breast size. I knew I'd have implants one day, but decided to wait until I had kids. I've had 3 kids and breastfed them for a total of 5 1/2 years. After my milk dried up, my breasts were smaller than they were prior to kids. They lost all volume. They were saggy. The areola was starting to wrinkle, and the nipple was beginning to point downward. Dr Riou was very confident in this being an easy augment. We went with Saline implant, 450CC, under the muscle, armpit incision. The surgery was quick and easy. The recovery was not bad. At my 1st follow up, he was so pleased, saying I looked like I was already 6 months post op, even though it had been less than a week. I am SO pleased with my results. My breasts are exactly what I've always wanted them to be. He did an amazing job. They are PERFECT! I highly recommend him. I also liked the fact that they use a local sedation. I did not want a tube down my throat for surgery. I wanted… to be breathing on my own, which is exactly what they do and what made me more comfortable. The staff is also super sweet. I wouldn't change what I gave my kids in breastfeeding, for the WORLD and would do it all over again. But I'm so happy with what Dr. Riou was able to give back to me. For myself.

Dr. Riou is the best plastic surgeon ever. He has done multiple surgeries on me after major weight loss. He is a perfectionist and does beautiful work. You can barely see my scars. I feel so much better about myself then I ever have before. I would never go anywhere else for plastic surgery but him!

A friend referred me to to Dr Riou and I am so happy with my results! I have a lot of loose skin from weight loss and had a tummy tuck and boob lift simultaneously. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! Dr Riou is so wonderful—with his skill AND his personality. I can tell he really cares about helping me look and feel better about myself. I am extremely satisfied with my results and would recommend him over and over!
