Dr. Jean Robert Robert Larrieux, MD

My mom has been going to Boston Medical Center for years, and this man is the worst. My mother stuggles with Alzheimer's-related dementia, a well-known progressive condition, and the only thing he says each time is mutter that "she's so different," and she's not as happy as she used to be. He made fun of her because she now has to wear a diaper. She has a pessary, and he recommended surgery, which I agreed to, until her primary care doctor pointed out the negative effects that general anesthesia can have on someone with her condition - something Dr. Larrieux NEVER discussed. This most recent time, she was very upset because she was in pain during the visit. She was screaming, and I totally understand that it was a tough situation, but Larrieux's response was to "put her back on medication" because she can't come and "disturb the office" every four months. His immediate response was to get her back on meds that were ruining her life so that his 15-minute job every four months would be… easier. Not caring, completely cold, humiliating, and seemed to have no grasp of a medical condition beyond his gynecological terrority. Go to anyone else.
