Dr. Jean Ellen Swearingen

Today was my first visit to her office. the staff was friendly and helpful. I saw the NP and she was excellent. she answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. I have not seen a doctor in years and they did not make me feel bad about that.

I would highly recommend this physician to friends and family. She is courteous, respectful and has the best staff. I am thrilled with the care and positive demeanor that I was treated with!

I like this physician, she is competent and very helpful with my diagnoses and the plan put in place for me to attain my best physical health, however her staff drags her down. I needed a Sleep Study done, they are responsible for getting the precertification for it, the first communication I received from them regarding this, in my voice mail, was that it was denied by the insurance carrier I have. I spoke with my insurance, and it was not denied, they only needed some information from my doctor's office, to be able to complete the precertification process. So, they lied to me. I can't tell you, the first 2 scheduled Sleep Studies had to be cancelled because of the information the Hospital needed to complete my registration and get the Sleep Study done. Now I have to go to Dr. Jean Swearingen's office to sign a HIPPA form so the doctor who first sent me for my Sleep Study can transfer the information to her office so they can get the precertification done. I have missed two… opportunities to get this Sleep Study done due to Dr. Swearingen's incompetent and lying staff. They are the reason I'm having to do my own legwork to get this done, and from her office, it is like I am pulling teeth to get help from them, and the responsibility lies with them. They obviously do not want my business, so I'm changing physicians. I will not be lied to or bullied anymore.

i wouldn't choose this doctor again. she asked all the wrong questions. seemed to come up with a diagnosis without knowing the facts. was not helpful at all.
