Dr. Jeanne Debra Travis, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Travis for several years. She takes her time, is a great listener, and is open to hearing about, if not prescribing, alternative treatments. Her practice moved recently and she is now working with Beth Israel. I don't see her often, but when needed, can get in in a couple of days. I believe well-visits do take longer to schedule, so advise doing so in advance.

I have been seeing Dr. Travis for ten years for preventative care, as well as the diagnosis of an life-threatening illness that two other doctors misdiagnosed and missed. I sincerely credit her skills with helping save my life; she is exceptionally knowledgeable, caring, and never rushes me out of the exam room despite her busy schedule. As for her staff, I have only had positive, professional and prompt interactions from them on everything from appointments to referrals. In my opinion, they are more efficient and more skilled than most office staff I've experienced in NYC, and this is over a decade of interacting with them.

She's so nice, you can tell she really cares about her patients. She'll bend over backwards to schedule you in for an emergency. And, she remembers your medical history and follows up. I'd gladly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new doctor.

I feel quite fortunate to have found Dr. Travis. She is a very competent doctor, and has treated me for a broad array of issues. She is thorough, educated, trustworthy, conscientious, very caring, dedicated, has a wide range of abilities.... and the list goes on. Her staff is helpful and polite, and generally do their best to accommodate patients, especially regarding urgent matters. MDs like her don't grow on trees!

I wish she would communicate directly with my other medical providers!
