Dr. Jeannie Jirachat Visootsak, MD

When our son was born with DS, we made an appointment at the emory clinic and saw Dr. Jeanie. That was nine years ago. She is like our extended family and advisor. She has our son's best interest at heart medically, emotionally and socially. If you have a child with Down Syndrome, you must make a point to set up annual appointment so that you have a good double check that everything is as it should be. I learn something knew every time I go.

Dr. Jeannie is able to treat her young patients according to their personalities and needs. In their eyes, she is a great friend, and she truly is, besides being knowledgeable about the issues involved in treatment.

She was matter-of-fact which we appreciate since it got us in high gear to start changing therapies for our child. She has a lot of energy.

After the appointment with her, I was so happy to receive a thorough evaluation and recommendation. We spent close to two hours-- the longest doctor's visit.. but well worth it. She called us after the appointment to make sure that we were doing okay. She is caring, kind, and very detailed.

She goes above and beyond to make sure that my child receives the best care. She is very nice with excellent bedside manners.

She is super nice and compassionate. She truly cares about her patients and follow up with us after clinic.
