Dr. Jeff Hetman ruined my life. He prescribed Levaquin after he prescribed Cipro and he knew I had a bad reaction to Cipro. Levaquin and Cipro are the same medication, just a different generation. I got bulges in the back of the ankles & in my right arm. I was rushed to the hospital. The damage is permanent and is getting worse. I can not perform my job, nor my regular exercises. I am in constant pain, which effects my concentration. Dr. Hetman’s assistant lost my 1st culture, therefore it was never sent to the lab. On my second appointment no culture was done. On my third appointment a 2nd culture was done & sent to the lab, which showed staph. Per emergency room doctor and the hospital blood results: there was no infection. The emergency room doctor said the 2nd culture was taken too late, after the toe was healed. It is common for people to have staph all over their body and you should not have been given Levaquin after a reaction to Cipro and your doctor should know that.
