Awesome treatment for the past 6 years!

The office visit itself was most notable by the fact the doctor spent less than 5 minutes in the room with us and left so fast, you could feel the breeze. When I attempted to ask a question, he fast talked right over me. Inova Urgent Care had diagnosed my daughter’s partial wrist fracture a few days before and he did not see the need for a cast, leaving him little to do and we assumed he needed to get on to the next patient. He sent in a third party vendor to put a brace on my daughter, which we paid for separately, and on the way out were told to pay a $10 co-pay. We thought that was the end of it until we received a bill for $1132.99, after insurance adjustments and co-pay, the balance due was $444.68. We thought certainly there was a mistake and I notified the office, who sent me to billing, who then told me they would investigate and get back in touch with me. Today we received an updated invoice from Inova with the entire visit removed. We were happy with this… until we… received a letter from their collections agency for the disputed amount! Is this the way Inova and this doctor handles things? You ask a question about a bill because a charge seems to ludicrous and their response is to send it over to collections rather than respond to a question asked in good faith? It might be worth mentioning we have been customers of Inova for almost two decades and always pay our bills. Something is clearly rotten with this doctor and this practice.

Dr Jeff Schulman was extremely helpful, he sat down and walked me through my issues very precisely. Thank you for actually taking the time to sit down and help your patients, much appreciated.

Dr. Schulman is an incredible doctor and surgeon. He put my hip back together when another surgeon told me I needed a replacement. I am back to running marathons without pain.

Such an incredibly kind doctor. And I really felt he what he was talking about, and could translate it so well, that even I could understand. Even better, he takes the time to listen. I tore my LCL, and he explained in granular detail everything, while looking at my MRI with me. He even went through each layer of my leg, front to back, to show the integrity of everything else, and why surgery was not recommended. Then proceeded to recommended me for physical therapy instead, and even came back after I'd been fitted for my brace, to answer additional questions. Most doctors will claim to be too busy, and his schedule was incredibly full, as is the case with most professionals good at what they do. But, he made sure I felt like I was his only patient for the day when I was with him. Which is so incredibly rare. And eased all my concerns, and was so extremely patient, on top of everything else.

I trust Dr. Schulman. He makes you comfortable before he goes into the issue at hand. Then he explains in lay man terms so that you can understand.kept me updated in between surgery and it was completed he gave me the run down and what to expect. Our follow up visits with him is excellent. He takes his time during the visit and addresses all concerns. He is the best!!

My Daughter was involved in a car accident with multiple fractures and we are very glad that she was treated by this great doctor. We are very pleased with the treatment she received and would strongly recommend him.

I was treated well, amazing results for a severely broken arm and elbow not expected to recover fully, and now functioning at nearly full capacity. I am grateful that I got the use of my arm and hand back, and that I found this surgeon!

I was referred by another orthopedist b/c Dr Schulman is a fracture specialist who handles complicated injuries. I was very impressed with his knowledge and explanations.
