I consulted Dr. Branch after I had literally just received a letter of congratulations from my other urologist stating that, after reviewing my case, it was determined that there was no need to further investigate the possibility of my having prostate cancer--aside from standard annual screenings. Luckily for me, Dr. Branch, not at all concerned with the politics of contradicting one of his colleagues, went with his instincts and recommended that I get a prostate biopsy. That biopsy led to a relatively early detection of prostate cancer and gave me a golden opportunity to get it treated while there was still a good possibility of being cured. Dr. Branch possesses a wonderful combination of intuition, intelligence, and experience which is further enhanced by a genuine concern for the well-being of his patients. I am the type of patient who tends to ask a lot of questions when weighing my options, particularly in the kind of circumstance I was faced with, and I never once felt the… slightest bit rushed or part of an "assembly line" of patients. In fact, Dr. Branch offered a lot of details that I hadn't thought to ask about, and helped me gain a thorough understanding of my options. Dr. Branch is a class act. I've encountered a significant number of doctors over the years and Dr. Branch would definitely be my first choice for any urological medical care and follow-up.
