just horrible to work with very very very nasty very hard on employees very hard on patients very smart person it's unfortunate it's wasted on his personality just my opinion after working working with him many many years and being a verbally and physically abused by him thank you for retiring

Without question THE rudest and most unprofessional doctor I have ever dealt with. After being hospitalized for a serious problem and released, he told me I was "sensational" and overacting by going in the first place. He also was looking at the wrong test results while lambasting me when I was in his "care" as a patient. This was after I followed a more competent doctor's direction by going to the hospital for observation. My only regret is I didn't ask for my co pay back. Horrible!

Very sweet and knowledgeable doctor who treats his patients with respect and dignity.

Dr. Danzig has a wonderful courteous staff.. As well As his accuracy in providing me with not only the correct diagnosis as well as the proper treatment. Would recommend to family, friends and colleagues.

Dr. Danzig seems to be a good doctor and friendly and willing to answer questions you may have. He is pleasant enough. The problem is getting through to his office now that he has joined a group practice. The office does not always take calls when it says they have office hours, and then you are on hold or switched to another location. Also, it is hard to get an appointment! What good is it if you can't actually get to see the doctor? Messages left are not always returned. The staff is not always friendly. By joining this large group, he has lost some of the personal interaction with his patients. Better for him, but not better for the patients.

He has been my primary for 20 years. He is ocd on scheduling but that's good--no waiting. He is also OCD on getting diagnoses right, once spending apparently a good deal of time going over two years of chest X-rays with the radiologist to understand the differences between the years. He is unfailingly polite and takes time to discuss matters of interest. While he does not personally return calls, operating through the nurse instead, all information requested is provided. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.

I'd been seeing Dr. Danzig for about 6 months for some gastrointestinal pain/discomfort. He insisted on an immediate endoscopy, which I followed through with. He said it showed nothing wrong. I thought heartburn was the cause. He prescribed one medication, and because it didn't work, insisted it wasn't heartburn and prescribed a different medication. This made me drowsy (and he gave no indication it would) and did nothing to relieve symptoms. My GP prescribed a different acid blocker that worked. I had a follow up appointment after a couple of months that had to be rescheduled due to snow. I get there and the receptionist says that I have $2600 in unpaid bills from the endoscopy, despite him being in network with my insurance. They say they've been trying to reach me for months and have sent me 6 bills in the mail - I have received nothing. They were unable to explain what the bill was for, but the receptionist pushed me to pay immediately. To add insult to injury, they insist I… need to pay a $50 no show fee for the appointment I rescheduled. I said that given the circumstances and the lack of help I'd received so far, I wasn't willing to pay the fee. They said it was policy and that I would be required to pay it. I said if that was the case, I would find a new doctor, and they told me that was okay. I spoke to my insurance company and they said that I had $0 patient responsibility, and since the provider was in network, he was required to accept the compensation they provided and was not allowed to charge patients more. Fortunately, they said they would handle the rest of the billing issue, at least for the endoscopy. I can't recommend Dr. Danzig. He's a nice enough man, but he didn't seem very good at diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal issues. He does seem to be very good at getting people to do endoscopies. I imagine they are quite profitable, even if they only get reimbursed according to the insurance companies' rates. And if they happen to send a patient a bill for more money, even though they are not allowed to... well, I suppose, what do they have to lose? There's always a chance the patient will reluctantly pay what they claim is owed rather than challenging them and calling their insurance. It may be profitable, at least in the short term, but it's extremely slimy and shows that this practice is here not to treat patients, but to squeeze them for as much money as possible.

Wait time is excellent which is good and bad, At times I feel a little rushed bring a list of questions to go over. He will take the time needed as long as you are prepared. Dr. Danzig does value the patients time. Occasionally difficult to get an appointment, I've learned to ask for the nurse. Daniel is wonderful and always gets back to me in a timely manner or will tell me when he is going to be delayed.

Dr. Danzig has been the GP for my husband and me for about 10 years. His office is efficient with short waiting times. He really listens to all the facts you present and then is an excellent diagnostician. While the examining rooms could appear cleaner, we consider him like an old country doctor who gives great service with what counts. He and his staff have always been polite even while they are thinking about the many tasks they have to do.
