Dr. Jeffrey Feldman, MD

We trust the care of our two children with Dr. Feldman and have done so for over a decade. He is extremely knowledgeable and very thorough. He is more than willing to get into the details if you're that kind of person. We have found that he takes his time really getting to know you and your child. He can also be quite funny, though it is a dry humor. He is very honest and upfront about many issues. I can see how some people can take some of this as rude, but personally I would rather have someone tell me the way it is. As an example, one of our children caught the flu a number of years ago (not a cold). We called to see if we should come in. Over the phone he asked a number of questions and let us know he would be happy to see our child but there was nothing he could do. He counseled us on what to look for and what to do. We saved an office visit - which means money and exposing others. I am over simplifying for the post, but it was a positive experience. Some people could be put… off by that sort of answer, but it was the truth. We have had more serious medical issues that required referrals to specialists. He was on point with these as well. Lastly, his office is clean, tidy and not chaotic. Scheduled appointments run on time. I did not like going to our previous pediatric practice because they were always running behind and I felt like it was a giant breeding ground for contagious bugs.

Dr. Feldman was the on call doctor during a time when my daughter was very sick. It was early on a Monday morning and my on pediatrician had not been able to make it in yet due to extreme weather. Instead of being helpful, he let me know how bothered he was that I contacted him because my doctor was not in yet. VERY rude and did not offer any medical advice. Turned out my daughter had pneumonia. I will not associate with him again in any way.

I think Dr Feldman does not sugar coat things he says it the way it is. I find he is a knowlegable Dr and knows what he is doing. The mothers who felt he was rude probably rather have a more compasionate Dr even if he/she may not be as knowlegable

Dr. Feldman is not our PCP, but was the covering physician for my son's paractice. He was extremely rude and talked to me like I was an idiot. I wanted to call him directly and let him know what I thought of his ignorant,arrogant attitude, but decided it wasn't worth it. I have never had an experience like this before and would NEVER go to this Dr. again. Instead, I would opt for the E.R. and pay the high copay if my son's doctor was unavailable. On a positive note, there was a student training with him who was wonderful. I think Dr. Feldman should get some training from this compassionate student!
