Jeffrey Frey

I've seen quite a few psychiatrists, but Dr. Frey was the best one. He is very personable and understanding and I feel I made the most progress while working with him. If I lived closer to Lansing I would absolutely go back to him.

Dr. Frey was quick to abandon me as his patient despite severe mental health issues, for simply missing two appointments. As a patient who struggles with severe anxiety and depression, I have good days and bad ones. I feel that if a patient with mental health issues should miss an appointment, perhaps the treating doctor should have more compassion for this, and maybe even make an attempt to reach out and make sure everything is ok. Dr. Frey didn't make an effort to understand what was happening when I needed him most, and as a result of being dropped as his patient, I no longer have access to the meds that were keeping my mental well-being in check. I hope Dr.Frey finds a way to put more care into his future patients and find some time to understand that his patients may have bad days that may force them to miss appointments, even though they desperately want/need to be there. Mental illness is not a choice and it should not be treated as such.

Dr Frey was an intrical part in me getting my qualify of life back after my TBI. He is very up to date on the latest research, takes the time to listen and explain the medical reasons that cause frustrating symptoms, calls personally to follow up on patient progress, and his treatment plans are effective and work! If you are fortunate enough to have him as your Dr, rest assured you are in good hands you can trust. He, unlike numerous others in his field, has not sold out to work comp or insurance providers. He will be your advocate when you feel to foggy to be one for yourself.

Dr. Frey saved my life. He is compassionate, straight forward and caring. This doctor knows his stuff and more importantly knows how to apply it. He literally saved my life.

My mother just started seeing Dr. Frye, he has been amazing. He has personally called my mother multiple times and gives her so much confidence! Thank you Dr. Frye!
