My husband saw Dr Lampkin when he had an office in Akron. He saved my husbands eyesight. For sure. He is extremely professional, competent, friendly, and explains things in a manner easily understood. His sincere down to earth nature as well as his dedication to ongoing training and expertise make him a treasure in his field. We HIGHLY recommend him.

I went to Dr. Lamkin after seeing several other retina specialists in the area. The first time I met him I felt completely at ease. He's easy to talk to, explains everything, takes his time, answers questions, and is kind and compassionate. I see him for check ups every 4 months to make sure my retinas are ok. He wasn't the doctor that performed my 12 or so previous surgeries, but I feel confident that should I ever have a problem in the future (Let's hope not!!), he would do everything he could to help me.

He is an excellent doctor and handled my problem very well. I would recommend him to anyone with the greatest of confidence in his skills. He has an excellent personality and his staff is wonderful.

I was missdiagnosed by another doctor and went to Dr lamkin for my retina tear. A specialist in Boston confirmed his diagnosis. He was very compassionate and thoughly explained everything. It has been several years now with no problems.

This man is absolutely they best!! He has been my "eye guy" for nearly 7 years. I have diabetic retinopathy, which was originally misdiagnosed by another doctor. For three years I basically could not see my hand in front of my face. Dr. Lamkin NEVER gave up!! He was extremely accommodating, supportive, and professional. After multiple surgeries, procedures, and more laser treatments than I can count, my vision has been restored. I thank the Lord in Heaven frequently for bringing Dr. Lamkin into my life - he has been an answer to prayer!! Saving one's sight is serious business - I want a doctor who is serious when doing his job.

He shouldn't be working with patients. He is too uptight and very uncomfortable interacting with patients. Barely said anything during my visit, and failed to explain my retina problem. He was also very 'rough' when placing the 'scope' on my eyes. I went to another specialist and he is totally opposite to Dr. Lamkin. I would never go back to him.
