It is with extreme gratitude and pleasure to highly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Lange for your orthopedic surgery needs having him perform a successful Total Left Knee Replace on me three months ago! After wasting two years of my life with unbearable left knee pain and seeing many orthopedic doctors that sent me to months of physical therapy and then as last resort to cortisone injections a temporary monthly solution a friend recommended Dr. Lange to me and the moment, I saw him immediately I knew he is the right person who had the knowledge expertise and ability to fix my uses less left knee and make the pain go away permanently, which he did assisted by Katherine Hazelwood and the rest of his extremely capable team! I am forever grateful to this charismatic healer and mentally thank him every waking hour of my day for giving me back my life to live without pain for now on! Thank you forever Dr. Lange!

I recommend Dr. Lange in the highest way possible. From my first visit he and his team have been outstanding. The level of professionalism, knowledge, empathy and expertise match no other. His bedside manner was so open, honest and comforting. He personality is infectious and his smile lights up the room. Dr. Lange performed total knee replacements on both my right and my left knee in 2025. I requested the second one be done within the same year as I had such a great experience at the Faulker Orthopedic Department under the care of Dr. Lange and his team. My first knee replacement went so smoothly. While it is common for most people to wait six months to a year between surgeries, I requested my second surgery be done sooner due to my quick recovery and ease of recuperation on my right knee replacement. I was advised that every knee is different and to think carefully and weigh the pros and cons of my request as the strength in my right knee will be critical while my left knee… healed. Both knees have healed wonderfully and my quality of life has gone from 30% to 100%. Life with no pain each time you take a step is something we take for granted. I applaud Dr. Jeffrey Lange, his PA-C Kathryn Hazelwood and Nancy the Executive Assistant of thi team. Without these three, I could not have made such a successful recovery. They are an amazing team and should be congratulated for their dedication to their profession and outstanding patient care.

This was my third replacement surgery with Jeff. (Both hips previously, and the knee this year.) I always feel comfortable with him and his PA Katherine as they listen to me and are the utmost professionals. In pre-op, when asked who my surgeon is, I say Dr. Lange and they give me a thumbs up.

Dr Lange is the orthopedic surgeon that gave me my mobility back. He is patient, kind, caring, intelligent, contemplative, and professional. He has a calming way of caring that goes beyond most physicians. He listens carefully, gives you options, appears to truly enjoy his science and I do believe, after doing both my hips, he exhibits great personal satisfaction by perfecting his craft. Very pleasant doctor. Easy to talk to. Outcome was better than I expected

Dr. Lange was always informative, helpful, approachable, and made me feel comfortable about the up-coming hip surgery. Surgery was a complete success, but recovery was rough and took much longer than expected because of expectations that had been set surrounding type of anesthesia, and other health factors. I am now three months post surgery and driving, walking, and swimming. I have a few more PT sessions and am almost good as new. I highly recommend Dr. Lange and his team.

Dr. Lange took great care of me. He replaced my Right Knee 3 months ago. I could not be happier with the outcome. He is so kind and caring. I would recommend him to any of my friends and family. He is an asset to the BWH community.

I was referred to Dr. Jeffrey Lange at the age of 34 by Maine doctors back in November of 2020. I traveled the 3-4 hours to see him and ultimately decided that he would be replacing my left hip. Everything seemed fine after the surgery until April 2021 when the new hip dislocated. Dr. Lange said that it happens sometimes and prescribed physical therapy, which I went to. I then dislocated a second time in August 2021. This dislocation cost me a pregnancy! Dr. Lange said he usually makes patients wait for the "3 Strike Rule" where a patient must dislocate 3 times before something surgical is done about it. He then said, "We could go back in, but I don't know what you expect to get from that because we did the best we could the first time." (That's as close to verbatim as I can recall.) He then referred me to a doctor closer to home who proceeded to guilt-trip me for wanting something done about my hip quickly. At that point, I gave up on Lange and googled "best orthopedic surgeons in New… England" which is where I found New England Orthopedic Surgeons. They were amazing and I highly recommend them over Dr. Lange who did nothing but make me feel guilty, unimportant, and cost me a pregnancy. Do NOT go to Lange if you can help it as he does not answer for the things he does wrong and instead gets offended by the concept.
