Dr. Jeffrey John Larson, MD

I had two surgeries by Dr. Larson a "few" Years ago. I still had pain after the first and "smilin" Jeff convinced me I need yet another. I had that done and as far as I knew at the time everything was great. Some pain remained but Dr. Larson was convinced that would pass. Here I sit in 2025 suffering from chronic pain that at times hits 8-9 on the scale. Norco has become my best friend but I really don't like taking it. I believe I may be suffering from failed back surgery syndrome. I WILL NOT have another back surgery done by ANYONE. I am just at a loss as to what to do. I used to be very active and my limit for walking is now 2 miles or less Heck of a way to approchase the end of life. 77 and trying to stay young

I had a great experience with Dr Larson and Annette! They are both very professional and passionate!

He is only the BEST, and I have greatest admiration for both him and his excellent skills. I would go back to him in a heartbeat, (and STILL MIGHT) ? but now live in Kansas, and it is somewhat inconvenient. DR. Larson is a fantastic surgeon, who performed my seventh back surgery to my lumbar area. This man is a Gifted healer. He fixed what others trashed and is a highly competent , technical doc who is surrounded by the best staff I have ever had the pleasure of knowing , I very much enjoyed the care of his assistant Holly and everyone in the office. I was injured on the job in Wyoming and have been covered by workers comp for seventeen years and the staff handled everything for me , and I am so grateful.

The nghtmare of Larson just keeps getting worse. I've heard from other would be patients, and not only does he discriminate against, and treat patients who have a work injury, but also wont accept medicare/medicaid. Larson and his staff are some of the most patronizing group of un-professionals I've ever dealt with. If you have questions about the "care" he is providing, you'd better not ask! I made that mistake and he went through the roof! Berated my husband and myself, and then told us to find a new doctor. I hadn't even gotten to question 2. This man has no business practicing. I will make a formal complaint with the proper agency. He is continuing to sabotage my workmans comp claim. I am so regretful for going to this doctor. A nice looking office means nothing when the people inside are so very unprofessional.

Dr. Larson performed my second neck fusion. He is direct and maybe a bit brisk, but I found him willing to address my concerns and answer questions. Dry sense of humor that I appreciate. Some of the follow up is completed by others, I would always prefer to see the doctor but it all worked out well.

I've read many of the previous reviews and with a few who had a bad experience with the Doctor, I agree that he is an excellent surgeon . However, with the exception of his assistant and nurses who are excellent, the two "lady's" and the office manager are very condencending, disrespectful and aarogant. They bait you into getting angry so they can ask you to leave. They are incompentant and try to make it look like it's your fault. This is the Mill Creek office. I think the office manager makes all the insurance decisions and runs this practice NOT the doctor.

Larson took off skiing with his family the day he performed a cervical fusion on my virile 68 year old father. He made himself unavailable to our concerns when Dad was unable to breathe, was choking constantly, and had spiked a fever of over 104 once we returned home. We took him immediately to the hospital where he had to stay for three days and it was surmised this hack had injured his windpipe and caused it to swell severely impeding his breathing. It was also found he had pneumonia before the surgery but since this hacks office had done no blood work close to surgery and within the required time frame they did the surgery anyway. But Dr. Larson' s ski trip could not be interrupted so we were left in the woefully inept and defensive hands of an office PA. My father has NEVER been the same. This guy is more interested in paying for his overhead than positive patient outcomes. Very impressive resume doc but so very long. In my experience great physicians do not need ones that long… rather their patients outcomes and success rates speak for themselves. If you care about your health and long term success forgo this Dr. and his practice altogether. hide details

Dr. Larsen and his staff are amazing!! He gave me hope! Took my pain away!

Dr. Larson is an outstanding surgeon and I speak from experience. My husband had two cervical fusion surgeries and was very pleased with Dr. Larson and his staff. So in 2007 when I was experiencing back pain Dr. Larson was my doctor of choice. He patiently drew pictures and explained that my spine was unstable and friction had caused a cyst on my spine, and we scheduled surgery. He removed the cyst and did a laminectomy. I recovered quickly and was pain free for several years. In 2014, I had reoccurring back pain and he recommended a fusion to stabilize the spine. The surgery again went well. Dr. Larson does minimally invasive procedures with several small incision and no bone graft for the fusion. I had very little pain immediately after the surgery and with physical therapy am now pain free. I have always found his office staff very helpful. The Doctor is a busy man with a huge stack of referrals but the timeframe for the office visits and surgery were very reasonable. I… never felt rushed by either Dr. Larson or his PA. On the contrary, they spent as much time as I needed to understand the surgery and aftercare. I found Dr. Larson's bedside manner wonderful. He is relaxed and delightful with a great sense of humor and displays a sense of confidence that I appreciated. Most importantly, the hospital staff think very highly of him. I have since recommended him to friend and will continue to do so. He's the best!
