In Sept. 2015 I found a lump on my neck that turned out to be a swollen lymph node. A trip to my primary care Doc. got a referral to an ENT who scoped my throat and found a tumor on the base of my tongue, which is very common. This ENT referred me to a Radiation and a Chemo therapy Oncologists. I wasn't going to go through this very damaging treatment until I had done research and thoroughly exhausted all other options. I was looking for a surgical solution to improve my chances of survival. After two second opinions, last stop (I thought) was Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, with Chief surgeon Dr. McCarferey who told me that surgery was "not an option". I wasn't convinced and decided to put off the start of Chemo/Rad for a few more weeks while I searched further. I then was having a conversation with a relative stranger about my proposed cancer treatment and he told me that his brother had laparoscopic surgery, through his mouth, to remove his tongue tumor in Orlando. I… rushed home, googled and found the DaVinci robotic surgical site and videos of patients that had Trans Oral Robotic Surgery to remove their tongue tumor, one of which was 5 years cancer free and did Not have to have Chemo or Radiation. Eureka! The way out. A quick look in the Physician referral turned up Only Dr. Scott Magnuson at Celebration Heath (FL Hospital). I was seen by Dr. Magnuson very soon after. Scheduled my T.O.R.S. and neck dissection surgeries. Recovery was about 2-4 weeks. Today I had my 3 year Cancer Free follow up with Dr. Magnuson, he saved my life and I am forever grateful! Believe the other reviewers who wrote of Dr. Magnuson's great care, concern, and follow up. There are no words to accurately describe what a loving and caring human being he is, and of course his staff mirrors his manner. He will treat you like family. Look no further you are Home.

Where do I begin?! When I reached out to Dr. Scott Magnuson (referred by Dr. Manny Perez) I was at my wits end. Thankfully, Dr. Magnuson’s office staff, his nurse included, are a team of caring, kind, warm and loving human beings that made us feel welcomed. They followed up with us every step of the way. From calling us back when they said they would, to always offering to go above & beyond to help us. In 2017 my son was diagnosed with a tumor inside his upper gum area. He was scheduled to have an incredibly invasive, aggressive surgery; which was going to change his life forever. After reviewing my sons case: images, biopsies & records from another hospital, Dr. Magnuson asked if we would consider postponing the surgery until he ordered his own CT scan. At our next visit with him, when he gave us the results of the CT scan, he told us how glad he was that we decided to postpone the surgery. Dr. Magnuson said that my son did not need surgery or any intervention whatsoever. He… said that he would continue to monitor the area to see if anything grows. After 6 months he ordered another CT scan, at which point he told us that he no longer needed to see my son because the CT scan came back completely normal. In conclusion I can honestly say that Dr. Scott Magnuson treats not only with knowledge, professionalism and expertise, but also with heart and soul.

Great Doctor !!!!

Had a benign parotid tumor removed & was able to go home same day.Was told this would be a simple procedure . A drain was placed and removed a week later . Since then am having complications.... every time I eat my cheek fills up with fluid that has to be drained after every meal with a needle and syringe! My wife is a nurse so she is able to do it at home, could otherwise be a daily visit to the clinic. The office is good at returning my calls even at night, they just say it's normal and should go away in several weeks. they. have me on 2 different meds to reduce saliva production but not working. Am hoping and praying that this would resolve soon so I can resume work and normal life. Overal lemmie say it's too soon for me to "judge "

1st app waited 25min in waiting room + another 35 for him to see me!!he schedules me for a biopsy said it was going to be small incision not to many stiches. front counter said they would call me the day before to give me the time of the surgery! they never called i had to call the outpatient department to ask! surgery day comes and i advised them that i get really sick with the anesthesia and they said they had medication to avoid that! Well i puke for hours,(+ he didnâ??t use stiches he used GLUE and the scar takes a whole side of my neck), they even released me from the hospital while still puking on the hall ways! this was very irresponsible i should've been stable before leaving the premises. a week later scar opened from one side and told them that i was constantly bleeding, they said they were going to let the doctor know and call me back they never did! horrible feeling of dripping blood every hour! and for them is normal. i didnâ??t feel like anyone in that office care at all.… every time i called because something not normal was going on it would take about 6 hrs for them to get back to me and say is normal. it felt like they were only there for the money and nothing else. No patient care

No bedside manner whatsoever and I don't think he cares @ all... Good.surgeon though as far as practice.. Follow up was eh
