Dr. Jeffrey J Marks, MD

I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to encounter this sociopath prior to him being in the position to have any direct impact on my healthcare. My heart goes out to all the women who were not so fortunate. Within the first 2 minutes of meeting Dr Marks he got really close to my face, yelled at me and threatened to have me hospitalized if I didn’t do as I was told. He is arrogant, loud, has no personal space boundaries and he spits when he talks. My first appointment with Dr Marks was for my 37 week recheck. The nurse entered first and hooked me up to the non stress test. I had never had this test before. She had me lay on their very uncomfortable exam table. She didn’t prep me for the fact that it would take 20 minutes. As soon as the test started my baby started to kick the probe over my belly with force. I asked why she seems to hate the probe so much. The nurse just said “It’s good that she is moving. That’s what we want”. The nurse came back in the room 2 minutes later and… tried to repeat my Strep B test. This only proves that no one reads the records at this practice. I’d had the test just one week prior. I took the probes off of my belly and said that I wasn’t going to be doing this today. This is what had enraged Dr Marks. When he entered the room he was obviously ready for a fight. I extended my hand to introduce myself. Dr Marks said “we haven’t met before?” Again, if he had read the record, maybe he would have known that. Then he proceeded to yell. Apparently Dr Marks has a reputation for this kind of thing. I left the entire practice and completely changed the hospital I had planned to give birth at just to ensure there was no possibility of having him deliver my baby. Please, protect yourself and your baby from this very unstable person.

I started with this OB GYN when I was pregnant for first time at age 36. He was highly recommended as a high risk pregnancy doctor. I’ve been seeing him ever since. My daughter that he delivered is now 18 years old and amazing like him. Great bedside manner and great sense of humor. A Real Person with great knowledge and Compassion!!! That’s the qualities that are very hard to find. He was recommended to me by my mother, who is still a patient of his today.

Horrible experience with Dr. Marks. See anyone else, they have to be better and kinder. Rude, impatient and didn't appear to take notes or refer to history of any kind. I immediately scheduled a second opinion, at another practice.

Surprised by reviews on here. Recently went for my annual as a new patient. Staff is friendly, and Dr Marks was professional and knowledgeable with a personable manner. I never felt rushed, and he spent time answering any questions I had.

Horrible. Most painful and long pelvic exam I have ever had. Even when he was hurting me he did not stop. I have 2 children and been to a Gyno many times. Never have I ever felt anything like this and he made me bleed a lot. That is not normal and he is rude and arrogant. Never again. I only saw him bc he was available sooner Trojan my regular dr. Not worth it. He is awful!

I wanted to write this review as I see that there are so many low star reviews here that I think are not deserved. For all future children I have or anything gyno or obstetrics needs I will return to dr marks and his practice. To preface, dr marks is very sarcastic, he makes jokes, he swears, he worries and he has a heart of gold. I first saw dr marks when I had a miscarriage. I ended up being a walk in at the practice and found out I was miscarrying. The entire office was wonderful with me, kept me in private rooms (and when all rooms were booked, out me in a back room that I’m pretty good sure was technically for machine storage, but I was such a mess they kept me in private) Following the miscarriage I told him I wanted to “get back on the horse” ASAP and I stayed with him. A woman’s wellness and two follow up visits before getting pregnant again. As I said earlier, dr marks worries and he watched me like a hawk to make sure this pregnancy went perfectly. And it did.… Throughout my entire pregnancy I was high risk due a uterine deformity and baby was breech. All the doctors were fantastic with me and dr marks sent me to the high risk women’s care. I was there every other week and at the regular practice twice a week. Throughout everything dr marks continued to watch her very carefully and make sure I was prepared and aware of everything that was happening and all risks that were involved. Throughout all this he kept a wonderful demeanor and as one who is absurdly sarcastic myself, we had fantastic banter. He always made sure I felt comfortable while taking the utmost care of me and my unborn daughter. I even requested him as my delivering doctor as I was having a c section (like I said, high risk) at this point, he knew me and my husband well and as always walked in and yelled from the other side of the sheet “hey sweetie!” As he always greets me and peeking over the sheet to say hello. My surgery went fantastic. The entire team was great and made sure I was totally comfortable as I was having massive anxiety attacks. My surgery is healing great and my little girl is here safe and sound. He even got excited when I brought her with me to my follow up visit. All in all, I will always return to this practice and any future children I have I want delivered by this fantastic physician.

Dr. Marks is a disinterested physician that is hostile and exhibits signs of instability. He blurts, is rude and uses profanity while speaking to patients. As a result, he provides poor care.

I am a 59 year old woman, so I have years of experience with gynecologists. I moved to the area a year ago and was referred to Dr. Marks by another doctor. There was little wait time which made me happy. Unfortunately, the rest of my visit was a nightmare. Dr. Marks entered without knocking first. He came in without any charts or paperwork that I had filled out and proceeded to ask me my history. For a first time meeting, I found him to be insensitive, brash and somewhat personal regarding my sexual habits. He used numerous swear words while discussing the importance of exams and women's health. I felt as if I was being scolded by my father. He was very unprofessional and arrogant. I felt quite uneasy and probably should have left without being examined. Luckily the young lady that worked their was present during the exam. I will not return! I am pretty accepting of people, but never so disgusted with someone that is supposed to make you feel comfortable and accepting. It was the most… unpleasant experience I ever had with a doctor.

On my first prenatal appointment Dr. Marks walked into my exam room while I was undressing WITHOUT KNOCKING or otherwise announcing he was about to enter the room. After seeing my reaction he left while rolling his eyes. He then performed a pap exam while initiating small talk with me. He insulted every response I gave to his intrusive questions about my family and job. I left the room crying. I approached the front desk crying and asked to see a female provider next time and they blew me off saying that I would have to see all providers in the practice. four weeks later I had a miscarriage. I called the office and let them know, then received a bill for the $3000 global delivery fee a few weeks later. The whole practice is a joke.
