Dr. Jeffrey Robert Mindel, MD

I'm currently looking for a new endocrinologist. The office: billing has been messed up multiple times. They're very quick to charge late fees, even if you have a credit to your account. Front desk is fine, typical for most doctor offices. Dr. Mindel: he's good with dealing with the facts- blood sugars, lab results, etc., but he's not the best with people. He is polite, but not the best listener. I've left his office many times feeling like a scolded child, and upset that he didn't listen to my issues with my diabetes. I don't find that he is the most proactive Doctor. I've been seeing him for several years now, but I'm looking for someone who is going to listen and lunderstand my concerns. Not just tell me what I'm doing wrong. Help me FIX the issues, not blame me for them. That's how I felt.

Front Receptionist Desk utter confusion, I showed up for my apt w paperwork in hand and was told appt was cancelled. I had an appt with a totally different Doctor at another facility the end of March, My family Doctor didn't want me to wait until then so she suggested this office. When I cancelled the appt with the Doctor at the other facility it seems he was affiliated with this Office he comes once a week. The office staff took it upon themselves to cancel the Dr in Reisterstown and the appt at Gbmc even though two different Doctors they stated to me after traveling over a hour for the appt that they couldn't figure out why I would see 2 Doctors in the same Practice! Well it is not common knowledge to anyone which facility A Dr may be apart of since he comes to that office once a week. They should have placed a phone call to see why the scheduling conflict! The following week I was seen by Dr Mindel he was very attentive and had a great bedside manner! I would recommend this… office just be wary of the Scheduling Desk! D

I am currently undergoing treatment for a major organ transplant . Although Dr. Mindel is not directly involved with my transplant I was very impressed with his ability to put me at ease and his bedside manner. Because of the type of transplant that I'm having I've seen many doctors and I have to say without a doubt that Dr. Mindel was the best by far with this knowledge, is demeanor and ability to make me feel I was his most important patient, something virtually all other Doctors I've seen have been woefully lacking. I can't say enough about this Doctor and I just wish more Doctors were like him. When a Patient comes to a Doctor, even for a minor procedure it's very scary for most of us and as I said, I only wish others were more like Dr Mindel. He is by far the best I've seen at 4 different Hospitals including Hopkins.
