excellent doctor. smart,caring and professional.

Really knows his stuff. Not necessarily warm and friendly but instills conficence that you are in good hands. Not averse to using drugs but and no guild complex if you do use drugs but VERY attentive to being safe with them. Would definately recommend.

As people use the internet more and more often to find out what others think of an MD they may see, may I say that Dr. OKen is one of the most respectful and compassionate doctors I have ever had. I have dealt with chronic pain issues for several years and he has kept me working and being able to function. If he is rated a bit less for promptness, it is because he spends quality time with his patients and you walk away feeling like you have been heard, understood and have a plan of care in place. He is truly an exceptional physician and a caring individual!

I have definately had my share of being seen by Doctors and too many times the Doctor is so busy that they don't have time to listen and truly hear what your there for.Dr Oken is one of those rare Doctors who still have compassion and geninue concern for his patients! I trust him completely and he is not in it to bleed you of your money and or the insurance money. He truly cares about his patients and I would recommend him to anyone who is suffering with chronic pain- You will NOT find a better Doctor! Trust me, he is very intune to his patients and their needs and most importantly, he puts his patients first. These days, there are too many Doctors who have no compassion and just shouldn't be Doctors but trust me, you will walk out of his office with a clear understanding and a Doctor who will truly care about you as a patient and not as a dollar sign! Kuddos to Dr Oken! He has helped me, when all others failed.
