Dr. Jeffrey Scott Powell, MD

I just called CareMount Medical to schedule a consult with the good doctor and was turned down for a because my primary doctor belongs to Westchester Health and not CareMount; meanwhile, Dr. Powell’s profile with CareMount states he is Accepting New Patients, without an asterisk as to only if their primary is in the CareMount system. I have never encountered this level of unprofessionalism, I am extremely disappointed. If the doctor is going to pick and choose his patients, they may want to update the CareMount website to read, Accepting New Patients At Will.

Dr. Powell is one of the most thorough doctors in the medical group. Treats the whole patient, not just what your condition may be. Spends as much time as you need. Understanding, bright and caring. Lucky to have him as my doc.

Dr. Powell is extremely knowledgeable about diabetes. His patient care is outstanding. I feel he treats me with dignity and kindness. He goes above and beyond in his care of patients. Although the wait time is longer than average, you know he will spend an extended about of time reviewing your care, so the wait time is not an issue. He makes every effort to work with you to help you with your medical condition. He is to be applauded for his medical care.

A thoughtful and caring doctor

I recommend Dr. Powell as an endocrinologist. He treats me for gestational diabetes and a thyroid condition. He's very nice, answered all of my questions and was very informative. I get the impression he really cares about his patients and I never felt rushed when I was talking to him. His nurse is a doll too even though she makes me get on the scale.
