I almost Never take the time to give reviews, but the Dr Jeffrey A Schaffer shown above has treated my family many times over 30 years and been A Life Saver. Apparently the last reviewer didn't look at his photo or read his specialty because they gave a Scathing Review about the WRONG DOCTOR. This Dr. Schaffer is NOT A SURGEON. He is in EMERGENCY MEDICINE, working in ER's. To the Reviewer claiming a wrong diagnosis: I can only say my family and I had cause to be diagnosed and treated by Dr Jeffrey A Schaffer many times. We've never experienced a wrong diagnosis. Lastly FYI: All ER doctors move swiftly from patient to patient covering what is necessary and recommending follow up with a Primary Care Physician. You will find on your ER exit paperwork a recommendation by the Doctor to schedule a follow up with your Primary Care Physician.

Dr Shaffer did open heart surgery on my husband. He ended up with life threatening osteomyelitis. When my spouse returned for post op checkups and reported that his chest did not feel right, he was disregarded. A wire was protruding through his skin. We were told, “it is ok”. After going through 8 weeks of IV antibiotic therapy, it was obvious to my spouse that things did not feel right. On a visit with Dr Shaffer, we begged for a CAT scan. We were told to wait a few months. Thanks to that wait, my husband is now in intensive care with a life threatening infection in his sternum. According to an Infectious disease Dr, this severe infection was likely introduced in the operating room, based on the timeline of when it manifested. Think seriously before you use this surgeon or Plano Heart Hospital

I always thought that if it quacks like a Duck, it must be a Duck. I found out the hard way, that sometimes a Quack is just a Quack.
